For workloads beyond 4th stage, increase intensity 25 watts (0.5 Kp) until termination heart rate is reached. Cool down after last stage has been completed.

Kilopond (kp) are for Monark cycle ergometers (6 m/rev) at 50 rpm. Tunturi and BodyGuard cycle ergometers provide 3 m/rev.

1 kilopond (on Monark) at 50 rpm = 50 watts = 300 kgm/min
