your lower back muscles should be worked the same amount as your abs. you want to maintain a balance between the front and back of your core muscles. you will become stronger in your other lifts with a strong core.

i want to change because ive been doing the same routine for a while and am getting bored with it. i also read that changing the routine "tricks" the muscles, resulting in better results/bigger muscles.

delayed onset muscle soreness. it occurs when you do exercises you aren't accustomed to doing. also caused by doing eccentric exercises(when your muscles lengthen while lifting)

what kinds of whole foods are considered casein protein? i know milk and other dairy products fall under that category but are all dairy products casein? what about meat like chicken, beef, and fish? Thanks.

i drink a lot of water a day, i'd say about 10-12 cups(8oz). although, i haven't been eating as much as i normally do, probably because i have kind of been slacking by not lifting as much as i normally do. i think eating more would help. thanks for the replies everybody.

thanks for the replies. when i work out my legs, they are really sore for a couple days afterwards and was wondering if taking an ice bath as mentioned above, or using a heat pad would make my legs less sore.
