non-traditional body aesthetics

So everyone since Sandow has been chasing the grecian ideal. Aren't there any other sets of body proportions considered 'ideal' by some other culture? Do the best athletes even match the grecian ideal? The ideal proportions for a decathalete can't be the same as for a sumo wrestler, right? And what ...

Help with something

Basically, let me see... I'm certainly not new to fitness. I played sports/martial arts as a kid. I was in the army. I've lifted weights a lot in life. I'm not exactly in bad shape physically. About 5'5", 150lbs, relatively cut, and not super skinny. I'm currently employed at a roofing company for a...

Re: Help making plans

Actually, the first BS program I seen required the AA as a prerequisite, but after looking around more,I see that most of them don't. Another thing is that I don't think there are any kinesiology programs available in my area, and relocating isn't really a financially viable option at this point in ...

Arganine

I'd like to hear what people think about arganine. I've heard that in high doses, it can be the cause of(for lack of a better word) limp dick. Is this the case? And if it is, are the benefits of taking the supplement worth the risks? And how does one measure dosage(since different brands recommend d...

Machines

I've never been fond of machines. Am I neglecting anything that can't be trained by other means? Er, rather, what am I missing that gives everyone else so much faith in machines?

I mean weight machines, not that lame stuff that they sell on TV at 4 in the morning.

Help making plans

So I plan to pursue a career in kinesiology. Eventually, I'd like to become a doctor of chiropractic. What I'd like to know, is what should I be looking for in am associates program? Thanks in advance.

Good looking man, I'll definitely be doing more of these is the future. It took me 6 tries to get the first level 4 without my heels involuntarily jumping up between steps 2 & 3, and then I could only get 3 reps in a rowbefore my right heel jumped up on the forth. I thought I was having issues with ...

He said that the stiffness would go away in a few days, and it was from wearing the splint.

I went to see an orthopedic doctor the other day and he said that the fracture is healed, but the muscles around my wrist are really tense and refuse to relax, no matter how much I stretch or use them, and it's just a little painful. Is there any magical cure for tense muscles?
