Re: Difference between shoulder press and military press
it would probably get rid of all leg drive and variation in your posture, it's less athletic. Standing press will require core stabilization and posture that is more varied. I bet yo u can do more on a standing press. with every press i keep my arms close to my body and perpendicular to the bar at ...

Re: Where is discussion these days?
I hope Forums like these are not dying. This forum has been very instrumental to my knowledge of training and physical fitness. Oftentimes I would not comment on the material that I was reading because I knew that the moderators were giving 1st class information. This forum was/is my go to when I wa...

Re: Cardinal Sin
Thanks again! The knowledge on this forum is priceless. I will post my progress, I'm entertaining the idea of starting a journal, but at times I lack consistency. Thank you for responding to my posting.

Re: Cardinal Sin
Thanks Mr. Croxdale. I really want to see where this can go. Please note that I'm using primarily Weight plates on the machine and the bands are used as a secondary means of resistance. I'll keep you guys posted as this is something in depth that I'm going to undertake. Thanks again.

Cardinal Sin
Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted, but here it goes. I've committed a cardinal sin, but let me explain myself. I now train on a modified Soloflex!! Now before anyone yells out "stone him!" hear me out. The reason why I got a Soloflex is because I wanted something that was space...

Re: How can you call equipment crap if...
Thank you Ironman and Matt Z. I had once read that results come from effort, intensity and smart training not newfangled equipment. Ironman I really like what you said about the vertical leg press as I have a Yukon one. This same friend who initially teased me about it when I got it bought one himse...

How can you call equipment crap if...
Hello everyone, I just wanted to post something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have a friend who is into home gym bodybuilding/training. He is single and due to not having too many obligations can spend higher amounts of money on better equipment. Me, not so much. I'm married with t...

Re: Checkup Scare!
Yes, it is psychosomatic. When I had a hernia, if it was even brought up, I thought I felt something. Mine was just bulging out of that little weak spot in the lower abdomen, it didn't go in my scrotum at all. If I was thinking about it, I would feel something there, but when I checked, there was n...

Checkup Scare!
Hello everyone. When it rains it pours, first last week I had cut the inside of my middle finger directly on the joint. This made it really hard to hold on to the bar to do my pullups so I had to chill for awhile before I posted my beginning score. I also went to the doctor this past tuesday. My phy...

Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
Sorry for the late response guys!! I completed 8 pullups in my workout this morning. My goal is 15 deadhang pullups so I've got 7 more to go. I had a cut in joint of one of my fingers earlier last week and was unable to hold on to the bar without pain. Please add me to the chart JungleDoc...I'm in!

Re: Comments on my routine and a few questions
Well to press or not to press that is the question? Since you don't have a bench you could go old school and do the floor press! Granted the range of motion is limited, but it beats a blank.
