Re: Safe to replace water with milk while using creatine?

Hmm, perhaps my earlier statement was not correctly worded. But creatine does lead to muscle saturation of water, and thus your body has less water molecules for its other usual functions. In order to compensate for this, it is recommended to be fully hydrated at all times, correct? So if the body i...

Safe to replace water with milk while using creatine?

Large amounts of water are required for creatine to exhibit its greatest effects, and considering that milk is around ~90% water, could milk be a substitute for regular water then?

I'm talking about drinking 8-9 cups of milk every day with maybe 1-2 cups of water.

How to buy creatine?

I have just recently started looking into Creatine and think I will experiment with it a bit. However, I haven't the slightest idea on how to buy it. Are there guidelines to selecting Creatine based on goals and whatnot? Is Creatine like protein powder, in the sense that there's whey, casein, hybrid...

How heavy for resistance band shoulder rehab

I know that bands with no resistance no heavier than 10lbs should be used for shoulder rehab, but would lighter bands provide a better stimulus for recovery? Just curious is there's an optimal resistance range for this, or if it's just preference and depending on the person and how strong/weak their...

Re: Deloading

I plan on [and usually do] decreasing intensity. Then work my way back up in increments.

Robertscott, then how do you decide to deload for squats if your checklist is centered around your shoulder?

Re: Deloading

I feel performance hasn't been optimal and it's been a while since my last deload. It's useful just to see if there'll be any change after my deloading, for experimental purposes.

Re: Deloading

Thanks for the responses. It's possible that my fatigue is due to my cutting back on sleep during the past week, but also possible that my body is finally forcing a deload. Which wouldn't be all that unusual, since I'm nearing the end of my program anyways. I've never really thought that much into t...

Deloading

Is it always necessary to deload after finishing a program? Should the deload session be with the same exercises as the program just finished or can it be a lightly intense version of the next program you plan on doing?

Hey Stu, can you elaborate some more on the warrior diet? Is this a diet geared towards weight loss or growth?

Does it matter what % of calories is ingested per meal?

Would it be disadvantageous if the percentage of calories eaten per meal wasn't consistent? I'm getting ~2500 per day, but due to class and time restrictions, I average about 500 for breakfast, 400 around noon, and 1600 for dinner. I know it's the total calorie count that's important, but just wonde...
