I also lift weights a few times a week and do cardio sessions. I dont want to be ungrateful for your advice but im sure your wrong when you say their is no value to low intensity but prolonged exercise. Humans are designed to be active during the day and I hope this could be a good modern life subst...

Thanks a lot eveyone. Lots of good stuff as always! Im seeing my doctor in 3 weeks so ill stay away from legs until then, and then ask him whats ok. The only isolation exercises im doing are for my calf's and wrists. I might experiment with doing them/not doing them, and see what difference it makes.

Im not worried about them, I was just responding to stuward saying not to neglect them.

Is doing them first each time likely to cause problems? I might also add in an isolation exercise for them later on.

thanks

What do you mean by 'heads' of the Deltoids? According to this site the Lateral Deltoid looks like it will give me wider shoulders. http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/DeltoidLateral.html Isnt the Posterior Deltoid only visible from behind? http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/DeltoidPosterior.html It looks like the...

Its to do with the muscle under the knee. I think it was caused by my calf muscle being too tight so ive been told to do some stretches for it. Its not a big deal, i just need to stay off it for a while. Thanks for your concern though. Ive been seeing a chiropractor for about a year now as I used to...

5x5 but cant do squats

Ive been working out for about a month, but doing a 4 day split which I dont think was a very good program. People have recommended the strong lifts 5x5 routine but ive injured my knee from too much running and ive been told not to squat or deadlift for a month or so. Can anyone recommend a program?...
