Single-arm tricep exercises

Hi, whenever I do bench press or shoulder press my right arm gives out when I get close to failure, but it feels like the left arm (i.e. triceps) would be happy to continue for one or two more reps. It's frustrating as it really holds me back. I really wish that my right arm would catch up with the ...

The Big 6

If I JUST do Squat, ordinary deadlift, bench press, bent-over row, standing press & pull-up, do I risk any muscle imbalances? Maybe hamstrings for example? It's just that I'm thinking of doing a 'cut the crap' type of routine after I finish my 2 weeks off from 'the place'.

Grip angle on rows & pull-ups

To keep things simple, I thinking of three different grips for these exercises: 1) Neutral 2) Supinated 3) Pronated When I'm doing N grip pull-ups , should I also do N grip rows (i.e. dumbbell), or use a different grip? Likewise, when I'm doing S grip pull-ups should I do a row with a different grip...

Barbell hack squats
Single-leg squats (pistols)
Deadlifts - can you do these?
Also try and be inventive

The above could keep you going for quite a while.

Combining heavy lifting with higher reps in same session

I was thinking that i might switch to the following at some stage: 6 big compound lifts split into 3 sessions. e.g. Session 1: Ex#1 - 3 sets of 3-5 reps, followed by 2 sets of 10 reps, all 3' rest. Then do Ex#2, same format as above. Go home. etc Or is it better to focus on one way of training at a ...

Yes, except that dark chocolate really is good for you, it's fat, fiber and protein. Of course the problem is that you really need it to be truly dark, and mainstream candy often claims dark, but is really a wad of sugar with a dash of chocolate added as an afterthought. You're right, to have any p...

75 deg Bench vs Standing Press

75 deg Bench vs Standing Press (dumbells used for both)

The objective here is to work the shoulders. I can lift more when doing the former, but does that make it better as a shoulder exercise, or is the latter as or more effective even though less weight is being used?

Testo-boosting Foods

I have read in various places that both dark chocolate (high cocoa %) and olive oil naturally help to elevate testosterone levels.

Is this true, how strong is the effect and what other foods have the same effect?

Do any foods have the opposite effect?

Re: Front Squats with Clean Grip - Wrist Discomfort :-(

Instead of the usual back squats, today I tried front squats with a clean grip (see here , top picture). It was very uncomfortable on the wrists. What can I do about this? Help me  ! You can do bodybuilding-style front squats , with folded arms securing the weight. Well, I read that doing the...

G allon O f M ilk A D ay That's WHOLE milk. Of course it will add weight but surely so much of this will become body fat that it's best to stick to a more conventional diet? It does seem very excessive :ex: I am open minded actually, and I wonder what people's thoughts are on this diet...

Front Squat as % of Back Squat

Assuming the front and back squats are equally well trained, what percentage of the back squat weight used should the front squat be, as rough guide?

Don't forget about the weight of the collars as well, if you use them. Some are 2.5kg each, hence 5kg for a pair.
