inner knee strain (anatomy?)
Got a new one. :neu: Got a feeling like a strain on my inner thigh a couple inches above the knee. If I push in there on the tendon, it hurts too. Has been there a while and just gradually got worse (think from cycling and just activities). Trying to figure out what it is anatomy-wise. Seems like th...

Why don't you try some circuit training for a month and then go back and test your 1RMs. If you regressed a lot, then it was a bad idea. If you stayed the same, but got fitter, kudos. If you got stronger AND got fitter than nothing to worry about. I like to alternate muscle groups. Keeps the cardio ...

I used to crush those fitness tests. 15 dead hang, full length pullups as a child. 20 as an adult. Was always wirey and scrawny, but somehow I had lats or something. Loved standing broad jump too. could outdo taller kids and even sprinters. Even NCAA sprinters in college testing. They would look at ...

Thinking about getting my shoulder operated on
Had a dislocation of right shoulder. Was repaired, but never really felt like it was fixed. HAve done all kinds of PT (years of it). And even lost weight and tried to work around and build muscles and all. I kind of alternate between thinking I'm too high maintenance and then not pushy enough. :( Ha...

I know what you are talking about. Had the same sensation happen as well. Not sure the cause. I'm just speculating and JD will be along to spank me, but...maybe consider a deload or just not going up on the weights as fast (slowing the rate of progression even if "ready"). Also, maybe allow yourself...

yeah...doc is sending me to PT now. I got a good PT (I think). He's more of a runner though, than a lifter shoulder guy. I donno. There's another one who is a big swimmer/shoulder guy. I really do think it is the pectoralis minor injury. I have pretty much exact match of symptoms and some of them (u...

Philosophy comment: Obviously, you shouldn't let a single study break you of a previous belief, since there are so many studies and so many ways they can be wrong and even so many confounding factors. That said, an opposing study ought to at least open your mind to the possibility that a previous be...

Some self-observation and thoughts. 1. Farmer's walks (of all frikking things) seems to really HELP this condition. Just makes my humerus feel more like it wants to sit back and down (and same with scapula really). Makes me very shoulders back and t!ts out. Seems to do a lot more than rows do, reall...

Anyone have any experience with this? I think I have this on my right side. Tweaked my chest a few months ago and have had issues ever since. I finally researched it on the Internet and learned the anatomy and I think I have a pec minor problem. following symptoms were almost miraculous matches with...
