Abdominal Cramp

Sorry guys, I've read a few threads on cramp, but none quite touched on my particular area of cramp... I imagine it's not that uncommon though just wondered if the obvious reason was the right one - i.e. i need to do more of the exercise to increase muscle endurance/strength etc - diet related? I te...

Left Shoulder Injury

Hi Guys, I'm sorry if I'm reposting a topic, I have tried the search function to look for similar posts, though to no avail. Long story short... 27 years old, been training on & off since I was 17. But have been very consistent for the past 2 years. I injured my left shoulder though couldn't pin poi...

Injury... Knee

Hi all, I've looked through some of the exercises listed in the cardio section, prior to making this post... i apologise if i'm repeating anything previously posted. I used to run in the gym and started to develop lower back pain about 4 minutes in. I switched to running on the road and this didnt h...

If I have a cold, I rest or a do a homework out as best I can (have a bioforce at home and some free weights), its not a true substitution by any means. I feel however, that we're missing the true issue. I would be quite annoyed if I was made ill because someone didnt want to miss a session. Trainin...

Someone recently recommended i try focusing on 'Negatives'. Are they particularly beneficial? I was told that the majority of muscle damage and therefore growth (scar tissue creation etc) is done on the negative movement while most str is built on the positive movement... True/false? Working negati...

there are guys in my gym who will literally do bicep curls in every conceivable position, free weight, pulley-systems, preachers curls, standing curls, super-setting... you name it... they do it all on one day - i'll a 90 min work out (incl queuing for equipment!) and in that whole time they are st...

Ok so in short, the science side is far beyond my comprehension but without a truly independent study it's hard to know Ultimately, once again and as the age old saying goes... 'there are no short cuts' .... re: gut/middle aged etc... i'm 26, been training since i was 18 (largely stopped while at un...

Ok so, if the vacuum suit increases blood flow, the naturally occuring enzymes would be available in greater concentration vs the respective substrate and therefore accelerating the break down of fatty tissue in and around that area... But could this be impaired by having a large amount of fatty aci...

Right... so assuming this works, is it a safe way to diet? My very limited understanding is that this helps mobilise the fat by increasing blood flow to the specific areas of concern, thus it can be metabolised. Could this somehow increase the amount of fatty tissue/adipose etc clogging up ones arte...

Just another gimmick?

Hi All, I've been training on and off for the past 7 years (wow i should be stronger!) and have made some good progress recently (past 15 months or so) as I've been more disciplined; got my diet right, have barely missed a training session and I found this site! In a nut shell, has anyone heard/seen...
