Heh. I assume you're being facetious here but there's a borderline case that bothers me. The top set on week 3 is 1+, does that mean you can only stall that week if you can't lift the weight at all?

Re: Elbow Support

If your elbow is hurting it'll probably help reduce recovery time. Then again it would be important to understand why it hurts in the first place.

Belly too! Anyone has a killer stretch for hip flexors? I've just started messing with this one

Re: 5/3/1 Pause for GVT (8 weeks)

Any of you done GVT and figured out a way to lessen the leg day DOMs? I've never stretched or foam rolled/tennis ball etc so wondering if thats what I need to do? Tennis ball rolling surely helped me with DOMS. Eating plenty of carbs in your PWO meal supposedly helps too. Baking soda too, but I hav...

Re: The 1 hour "rule"

People can disagree, but they can do so without introducing vulgarity to the thread. And the board members did, until you posted your comment. Sorry Stephen, I wasn't meaning to piss off people. Guess I've been reading too much Chaos'n'Pain lately  FTR I wasn't really disagreeing with anyone, ...

Re: Goblet squat

I bet front squats and overhead squats would do the same to you. Front squats I've done some when my shoulder was out of order, I felt limited by the ability of my lower back to keep the torso upright, but as far as I can remember my adductors didn't budge. Then again I've been using a wider stance...

Goblet squat

Did a set as a warm up last friday, my hip adductors have been ridden with DOMS for two days now. Any reason why the goblet would do that to me and not back squatting - other than I'm doing it wrong? And if you have any good links (analysis, instructions, in-depth whatever) on this exercise, I'll be...

True that, although I'm thinking there's more to it, it's for IM to elaborate (if he wants)

Re: The 1 hour "rule"

The turn the thread has taken (and many others like this) is a constant reminder to me that the strength training community seems to be perpetually polarized in some sort of teenage transition where the only options are manning up and pussing out. There are no in betweens, you are either a lazy scum...

Re: WORK AND WORKING OUT

According to the SL 5x5 program there is a series of failures and deloads, that are to be reached before moving to 3x5. (...) It is hard for me to tell if, if I should switch now or stick it out. I have no prior experience with lifting, and don't want to "puss out" I don't think anyone in its right...
