Re: my current routine for bulk
Direct arm work is just for fun ? So if someone purchases some free weights and does curls their biceps won't get bigger after 1 or 2 months?

But my scoliosis is higher, more between my shoulder blades... So should I do the chairs on the same side that the curve is or opposite?

Re: Questions about improving posture
dunno, maybe I'm just an extreme case... i can see the forward shoulder posture improving if you shorten the "pulling" muscles enough.. but cause the hips are fixed, and there's so much forcing the lordotic curve, I can't see, logically, how you could improve this curve, how I can decrease the # of ...

Re: Questions about improving posture
Like I said, I did assess & correct + neanderthal no more exercises on and off for a couple of years... i wasn't totally consitant but I just wasn't seeing any progress. assess & correct tells you to press your back and a.$s against a wall and put your hand between the lumbar spine and the wall to s...

Re: Questions about improving posture
i'm in your position and i'd just like to chime in that it's not possible to fix your normal, relaxed, neutral posture I looked into Assess and Correct and the whole "mobility" craze (selling false hope), I looked into T-nation's 'neanderthal no more' .. even on this site if you go to "lordosis" etc...

myth or fact? targeting different parts of the same muscle
from wikipedia... A variety of resistance exercises can be used to train the pectoralis major, including bench pressing (using dumbbells, barbells or machines at various angles such as decline, incline and flat where the hips are above, below and level with the head respectively), push ups, flyes (u...

Re: Weight lifting and scoliosis
of course, I feel sore the next 2 days after a squat session, mainly in my quads and lower back.. I'm just concerned that, even if I don't get any warning signals of pain in my spine, I'll be "bending" the scoliotic curve more and more..

Weight lifting and scoliosis
I was doing an observership at a GP's office when she was doing an annual checkup on a teenager. She found some scoliosis and had to give him and his dad some advice on the matter... I remember people saying something similar about me in my past, so I asked her to look real quick.. she asked me to b...

Re: Erector spinae exercises good or bad with lordosis?
anterior pelvic tilt'll make your a.$s stick out more and look bigger. Belly too! Anyone has a killer stretch for hip flexors? I've just started messing with this one doesnt really do anything for me... the leg just kind of dangles anyway, when you do the regular lunge-like hip flexor stretch, is y...

Re: Erector spinae exercises good or bad with lordosis?
I've been doing Neanderthal no more part 5 as my only exercise routine for many months now, and more than half of the big exercises have something to do with the glutes ie rack pull http://www.t-nation.com/img/photos/04-115-training/image002.jpg http://www.t-nation.com/img/photos/04-115-training/ima...

Erector spinae exercises good or bad with lordosis?
Trying to treat my lordosis.. might just be genetically fv(k but I'm doing what I can :blackeye: wikipedia Lordosis of the lower back may be treated by strengthening the hip extensors on the back of the thighs, and by stretching the hip flexors on the front of the thighs. Too much importance have be...
