Shin Splints
I've got pretty bad shin splints. I can barely jog, let alone run. I'd like to be able to actually go running again, but I don't know what I need to do to fix this. Are shin splints a permenant thing? Is there anything I can fo to rehabilitate them? Is there anything I can to to help them heal faste...

Maximum Muscular Bodyweight
An interesting article. I was wondering what everyone else here thinks of it. It seems to be stirring up controversy.

hip mobility
My lower back was sore for almost a week after I did squats and deadlifts. Turns out it's because I have almost no mobility in my hips because my hamstrings are so tight. I can't even touch my toes. What should I be doing to fix this and how long is it going to take?

A basic question about Protien and Calloric intake.
For bodybuilding, what's the recomended daily intake of Protien and Callories? I've heard for protien it's 1 gram per pound of body weight. I just wanted to know if that's true, and for calories, I've heard lots of different things. I was just wondering if someone here could clear it all up for me.

This might help.
1 can per week of albacore white tuna is the MOST you are allowed to eat. (or 3 cans of light chunk tuna.) acording to the FDA/EPA.

Silver, both Ironman and Viking make valid points about rows and chins. They really are a bit different. Chins/pullups work the vertical plane, while rows work the horizontal, and as we all know, the back is very complex, and to work it thoroghly, you really need at least 4 or 5 movements. You migh...

See, the one thing I hate about bodyweight excercises is that while certain excercises are so rediculously easy I should be using weights (Squats, Pushups.) Others, (Chin Ups) I struggle with. Can I get away with replacing the Bent Arm Pullover and the Bent Over Row with Chin Ups (And once I'm stron...

I'm just trying to learn what I can, and find a balance. I've had people beating me over the head about how horrible weight training is and how weight trainers have no strength and how wonderful bodyweight excercises are. By learning what I can about them now, the next time I hear a tirade I can jus...
