Re: Are squats, deadlifts, and overhead movements unsustainable exercises?

I don't believe so at all--I've been doing them for almost a decade and have had my share of training injuries--but always due to me not knowing when to back off and spend more time stretching and recovering. As long as your form is truly correct--and it can be easy to have your form off just slight...

Re: DEXA Body Scan Test

Cheaper body composition scanners are largely agreed to be mostly useless. Dexa is the "gold standard" right now. I would suggest simply getting scanned as it plans out with your program--aka at the end of a bulk and then at the end of your cut to see what your actual fat loss was.

Re: Bodyfat Loss over 50's

I think as long as you are losing weight in an appropriate manner-aka 2-3 pounds loss per week in a 200-300 calorie/day deficit then that is what matters. Realistically, when you lose weight you are losing water, muscle, glycogen stores, etc as you have pointed out. The exact amount in the end, howe...

Re: Personal Best Log

Just hit 315x12 for 6 sets on back squat which is a huge PR. I recently switched from linear periodization (Jonnie Candito's program) to the Physiqz 8 week DUP program (https://physiqz.com/powerlifting-programs/) which is short for daily undulating periodization where the number of reps change every...
