Ryan, I'll bet you're strong as an ox, but that you tire quickly. If you can't get 8 reps with 80% of your max -- then you're predominantly fast-twitch muscle fibers. Folks with lots of slow-twitch muscle fibers could get 10-12 with 80% of THEIR max. FT fibers drop out of muscle contractions about 6...
