Fast Food Diet

I found this article to be pretty interesting: http://www.squidoo.com/foods-that-build-muscle-mass" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It basically recommends foods like burgers, pizza, nachos, etc... Lol I think it was written as a bulking diet parody because a lot of the suggestions are...

T-shirts for strength athletes (should I buy?)

I posted this in the bb.com forums, but I thought I would get more replies here. I was wondering if anybody bought anything from this store before: http://www.zazzle.ca/physicalculture I know zazzle has quality products, but is it worth the price? I'm not a huge fan of t-shirts with slogans, even if...

Texas Strength - GHR/Reverse Hyper Machine (should I buy?)

Due to limited budget, and limited space in my home gym, I am considering purchasing this piece of equipment: http://www.texasstrengthsystems.com/ghr.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm looking to getting the GHR/reverse hyper Combo. http://www.texasstrengthsystems.com/files/ghr%...

Re: WS4SB - Modified for this sport?

I would focus on strengthening the shoulder from all angles, especially unilaterally. As well, core stability, anti rotation, etc is paramount. Where are you located? Canoeing in in season here right now. Thanks :) We're in Canada. Rowing/paddling sports are getting more popular around here. Judgin...

WS4SB - Modified for this sport?

I'm trying to set up an off-season program for my friend, who is a canoe racer. She is starting to get competitive in this sport and I recommended WS4SB to her. I was wondering if making the following modifications to WS4SB would be good for her specific sport (which involves a lot of back, core and...

Re: Madcow 5x5 Advanced - Cycle Question

Another question regarding the deload options.

Option 2 is a pure deload, and is described as weeks 5-6 or extended.

Does this mean as the volume decreases, the intensity increases every week (3x3)?

Re: Madcow 5x5 Advanced - Cycle Question

Thanks,

I've been on the intermediate program for 14 weeks now.

I've had to reset my MP and bench twice already, and I keep stalling at the same weight, no matter how far I reset the lifts.

Should I reduce volume to 3 reps per set?

Madcow 5x5 Advanced - Cycle Question

I'm going through the spreadsheet for the advanced madcow 5x5 program. I know the intermediate program is meant to extend for as many weeks as possible, but is the advanced version meant to be a 9 week cycle? I know the volume phase can be extended, depending on the individual but is the deload/inte...

Re: Madcow Intermediate 5x5 results

For those who have followed this program before, what were your results? what were your starting 5RM's, and the resulting 5RM's? How many weeks were you able to run before stalling? Will I be able to get to a 315 bench on this program? my current 5RM is 225. Or will I eventually need to move on to ...

thanks for the advice everyone :)
another question:

when rotating exercises for ME work, for example:

when switching from bench press to incline bench press, can I still perform flat benches during RE day? or do I have to omit flat bench entirely until I rotate it back in for ME work.

I was planning on adding the pendlay row as more of a strength exercise. However, from my form on bent-over rows, I believe I may have to wait until my hamstrings are more flexible and my lower back doesn't round. When done correctly, the pendlay row is supposed to be done quick and explosively. Hi...
