Sources for large shoes

I have a problem finding shoes in my size and width- 14AA. The only athletic shoe i have found in this size and width is the New Balance 992. Many companies have 14's, but starting in a B width and those are a tad too loose for me. Anyone know of a good source? Thanks.

Angle of pull question

On the mechanics of exercise page of EXRX regarding components of force it shows three different angles. My kinesiology book has the same pictures yet the angles are reversed. For example on the EXRX page, it shows the stabilizing componennt at >90 and my book shows that angle to be <90. The disloca...

Thanks for the link on the pulldown shrug, Stuward. Hard to tell by the pic, but it looks like the guy is leaning back slightly. I was taught to keep the back straight,in a neutral position and chest high. Also to keep the bar in line with the scapulae as i shrugged.

A subsequent search for lat shrugs, rather than reverse lat shrugs led me to several links for info describing the exercise. Haven't found a video of the exercise though.

Reverse shrug on lat pulldown

I was shown this exercise a few years ago by a trainer. It's the reverse shrug on the lat pulldown machine. You assume the starting point for the lat pulldown, except instead of pulling the bar to your chest, you shrug your shoulders keeping your elbows locked. Emphasize depressing the scapula, keepi...

I found this link at their website a few months ago. I like the lines used to show the trajecory of the bar. The downside is it takes forever to download the exercises. Incidentally, i use the NSCA book for my fitness assessment class. Good book.

I quit in 1982 when i started my family. I didn't want to expose my kids and wife to my smoke. I was involved in sports at that time too and was easily winded from just mild exertion. Haven't had a cigarette since.

My intention wasn't to intrude, but since you posted on the forum rather than in a a private message, i felt it would be appropriate to ask a question on this thread. Many apologies.

Since we are on the subject of the heart, this is sort of related and Jungledoc probably knows the answer. In my fitness assessment book, it has a resting heart classification (Heyward 2002) which states 60-100 bpm= a normal heart rate. The other chart (Golding, Meyers, and Sinning 1989) which is th...

I was taught not to lock out when doing leg presses or leg extensions due to the stress on the knee joint. So it's allright to lockout then?

I was paying $15.00 per month, cancelled my membership because i got some equip. for the garage but signed up again a few months ago at $29.00 per month. My garage is too small now because my wife uses it for storage. Don't ask why i can't just move it somewhere else. Long story.

Yes, the alternating dumbbell pushup is exactly how he set up except he did one side at a time. Thanks for that link!
