How I look...
Lately a couple of people have told me I've put on weight...this freaking bothers me. I want some unbiased opinions on whether or not I look fat...and sorry for the quality of these pics. Although they were taken very recently...and I think I've probably lost a little bit of fat since. http://viewmo...

Well I know from a lot and lot of reading that in order to lose BF% and keep your muscle you have to include heavy lifting. Which is something I am doing. I'm just not sure as to the best method of losing BF% without dropping a drastic amount of weight. I've worked really hard to gain the weight an...

I'm in the military. Not only do we get free gym membership, we get time off during work hours to work out. Mind you, we're also fitness tested annually. I do occationally use local gyms and pay $5 drop in charges. Nice. I had a free gym membership when I was in the army- which of course I never us...

There have been two points in my life where I have lost a significant amount of weight. When I was a sophmore in high school, I lost around 50 lbs. I did that by eating a decent breakfast, small lunch and small dinner. For exercise, it was mostly cardio and calistenics. The second time was when I wa...

If we are making a distinction between jogging and running, jogging being slow and running being fast, then I meant running, not jogging. But when I tell people I'm going on a jog, I don't necessarily mean a very leisure pace, its just a general term I use for running. And I'm not sure who made the ...

Oh my...I can't believe you are all rising up against me. Jungledoc, you said jogging is an inefficent means for cardiovascular health. True that you didn't say some of the stuff I said, but when you say "jogging is for people who like to jog." And "it is an inefficent means for cardiovascular healt...

Jogging is for people who like to jog. Some people enjoy it. It is their sport, their relaxation, their recreation. I don't personally understand that, but I believe it's true. Informed people who want strong heart and lungs do much more intense cardiovascular exercise, such as sprinting, rowing, c...

Weighted push ups would be better...the problem is you need someone to push down or hold the plate on your back. For those of us that are big losers and work out alone :green: like me, I might try this modification of a push up, as chest is hard to work out without barbell and bench set. I do alot o...

Isometric training
I realize I have been asking a lot of questions as of late, but I do yet have another one for everyone. I am interested to know more of isometric training. First off, in layman's terms, my understanding is that it is holding weight at a certain point and not performing repititons (as if squatting bu...
