Sissy Squats are like the only isolation exercise for quads aside from machines like leg extenstion...which is obviously not an option. Besides, I hate leg exts on machine anyways. Hamstrings and glutes would seem to offer more options...but I am wondering if i should do the isolations before or aft...

Two Quick Questions

I don't go to a gym to workout, and don't have a barbell set, so I am forced to work out at home very creatively. I do alot of bodyweight exercises (with weight added through the form of a backpack, me holding it, and my dip belt), I have dumbells that can be loaded with plates, and plenty of room o...

In this guy's defense...I don't do squats. Well typical squats at least. Some overhead squats with plate loaded dumbells. I throw weights in this plastic trunk I have for deadlifts, and do reverse push ups for rows. Perhaps he doesn't have access to standard gym equip.

My main beef with gyms is not what anyone has said here. Then again, I've only had one positive experience with one employee, so yes, I haven't had great experiences with the employees. But none of the rest have been particularly friendly. In fact I think one personal trainer was trying to move in o...

Hmm...maybe try some HIIT? I think that would preserve existing muscle better than cardio and still help loose weight.

Does anyone know where I can buy

Some hardcore resistance bands? I'm not talking about the kind that would snap with 50 lbs of pressure, ideally I would like some that could withstand at least 300 lbs. The problem is I am having a hard time finding any that can hold more than 100. Any thoughts? I thought about just buying a couple ...

You're probaably right about the farm raised shrimp...they probably aren't eating what they normally would in the wild.

On a different iron note...the other day I bought shrimp from the store and it said it had a 20 % iron content...then just yesterday when grocery shopping I looked at a bag of shrimp in a different store and it said it only had 2%...the only difference being one was shelled and the other was not...i...

Healthiest Ethnic foods?

I guess this would apply for Americans (if there are those who aren't)...but I would say that most ethnic is healthier than American. I would say seafood...although I guess this is not really an ethnic food, but to those in columbus ohio it sort of is, unless u feel like paying outrageous prices on ...

Building strength/power without weights

Yea, sounds kinda stupid, but I like to get out of the gym and unfortunately no one I know likes to play sports like football. So i'm trying to come up with ways to get in like 10 or 20 mins some practical strength ideas, and not coming up with much. Lately I've been taking a 10 lb plate and going o...
