Any of the Law and Orders is good. But my favorite show is Futurama. I enjoy the humor, especially the subtle stuff they put in there.

When chimps eat other animals they bite off the limbs first, before disemboweling them. Pretty gruesome.

Haha thanks Doc, I know I should see a real doctor, but I try not to use my insurance unless it seems like a necessity (you know, moral hazard and all, drive up insurance costs and such). There was a little swelling, but it wasn't super puffy. I'll just stay away from pressing for a week or two, as ...

It's on the outside of my elbow, more on the ulna. I was just looking at a diagram of the elbow and it looks like it's about where the bursa is... could I have bursitis? It basically feels pretty stiff when I start getting to maximum extension, but it's getting better. I don't really feel the pain u...

Elbow Injury: Help?

For about a week or so I started getting a slight pain in my elbows when benching, but I still managed. It didn't hurt at all when I pressed. Then one day it started hurting bad, not from a bench press (I was just sitting around extending my arm, it's kind of a tic I have, and I got a sharp pain). I...

I only have one pair of pants that even fits me anymore. It's amazing trying to put on pants I used to wear and I can't even fit my legs down them.

I seem to recall a quote by a famous philosopher about the Texas Method: "Again let me remind you (Texas Method) is just a name used, a boat to get one across, and once across it is to be discarded and not to be carried on one's back." I don't know I might not have that 100% correct, maybe Peter rem...

How or where do you do your squats? I do them in what you would call a cage I guess. I've never had problems with form. If your just placing a weighted bar across your back that kinda gives your body a lotta leeway to make micro-moves. If you're in a cage, the only direction you can push the bar is...

Well, steroid use isn't cheating, unless you're involved with some kind of league or federation that prohibits its use. Speaking of steroids, MYTH: 'Roid rage is a fact. Truth: Medical evidence suggesting the existence of 'roid rage is spotty at best. It certainly can't be characterized as a "known ...

In some places they ban specific dog breeds too. In Quebec(?) I think, they've banned Pit Bulls. I have heard that they are dangerous because they're so strong and so game (and allegedly aggressive). My brother has got a half shepherd/half Pit though and it is the dopiest animal alive. A lot of the ...

My major point was that some gun regulations don't necessarily lead to a slippery slope that ends in total prohibition. But outside of that I'm clearly not educated enough on the issue (and not invested enough, either) to continue commenting, so I'm going to be a spectator from here on out.

As for specific exercise being bad for your shoulders, knees, back, etc., it's usually the other way around. For example, bench presses aren't bad for your shoulders, but people with shoulder issues often have problems benching. Likewise, you may want to avoid any exercise that causes you pain or d...

I don't buy the slippery slope argument. Slippery slopes are fallacious. Having some sort of regulation is not necessarily going to lead to total prohibition. If we say people under 21 years of age cannot drink, then it does not mean that our right to imbibe will be taken away. If we say convicted f...

It would help us help you if you actually listed your routine. Some exercises have developed reputations for causing shoulder injuries.
