Breaking your workout session

Is it ok to rush home after a session and continue exercising at home? Yesterday, it was so busy at the gym (after completing my barbell exercises) I couldn't find a bench to do any dumbbell exercises. So I went home.

Wait a minute. There's a section in this same website called "Gym Etiquette" with the header "Avoid making too much noise" http://exrx.net/ExInfo/Etiquette.html It's noisy enough with the gym music blaring so loud my own MP3 player is damaging my eardrums as I try to listen to my own music. Imagine ...

... Of course, that's not as bad as what happened to Marion Jones : Her reputation is gone and now so are Marion Jones' Olympic medals. Jones gave back the five medals she won at the Sydney Olympics on Monday and agreed to forfeit all other results dating back to Sept. 1, 2000, further punishment f...

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm not trying to depict any sort of psychological disorder or obsession (shouldn't have included the anorexia example). I'm describing any normal person going through workout to improve his health. He will go through adaptation and will need to change his routine. An...

How far will you go?

So I've read several examples on the web how some people make great gains for a year and then they plateau and the gains stop. They've reached Adaptation. So they go onto the the next phase and continue the gains until they plateau again. Again and again it goes. So each time you make a change in yo...

I'd like to add that I don't like people taking weights from my machine as I am clearly using it. How can they assume I won't be using those same weights next then I'll have to steal them back. ...Still... If i could get the weight from anywhere else I would but there's not a huge amount in the pla...

Why don't you try running up several flights of stairs instead (say all the way up a 12 story building)?

Power is the change in potential energy (your weight x total height obtained) over time (the time it took to climb all those stairs).

It's all legs - just like jumping.

Thanks, Stu and Stephen.

Would it be too much to do the two exercises right after each other, put an exercise in between or do them on separate days? Although they target different primary muscles, the secondary muscles for both are biceps and lats.

Bent-Over Barbell Row vs Barbell Rear Delt Row

I was looking for shoulder exercises with the barbell when I found the Rear delt row. I looked at the photos and the video and it looks the same as the bentover BB row. But I'm sure there are subtle differences in the mechanics.

Please explain.

Thanks.

Gay men, lesbian women, that won't solve the world's warring problems. They'll continue to fight amongst themselves and drag the rest of us with them as the wars escalate. But you are on the right track. Historically, alot of the world's conflicts domestically or internationally is rooted in sex. It...

People go to the gym to get fit and healthy. If the gym had supplied some other food or foods that was known to be consistent ...
