Re: how to control diabetics?

Thanks everyone for your contributions, but some of these answers cross the line into giving medical advice. Posters like this need to be referred to health professionals, like Stu said in the first response.

Re: Craving Help

Sorry no one has answered. There is no easy way to tell you to change if you somehow feel that this is something beyond your own control. It's now beyond your control. You're the one who makes the decision to eat whatever you eat. Sorry. No easy way. Don't buy the things that you think you shouldn't...

Re: Imbalanced shoulders

I mean are they about equal in strength?

Sorry we couldn't give you a clear answer, but the shoulders look OK to me.

Good luck with your training.

Re: Program when you can't plan

Ken, I like that. I have a similar situation. There are times that I'm in the gym every 2-3 days, then times that it exceeds a week. Work, general health, etc., all affect my schedule. I've been using an "undulating periodization" for progression, based on a very conservative index weight that allow...

Re: Imbalanced shoulders

So your goals are obviously more appearance-oriented than just strength. I'm curious how your shoulders compare strength-wise.

Re: Imbalanced shoulders

Bothering you in terms of appearance, or hurting? I honestly can't see much difference. Both look pretty good to me. I asked my wife to look at the photo and asked her if she could see any difference between L and R. She said, "The right one has a few more bumps." :) I'd certainly urge you to work o...

Re: A small collection of basic routines - Beginners Pls Rea

Bret Contreras has a new video with a beginner program. http://bretcontreras.com/2012/06/the-3-most-basic-lower-body-movement-patterns-box-squat-hip-hinge-rdl-glute-bridge/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; That link (posted 4 years ago) is now dead. However, I saw this on Contreras' b...

Re: Have to change my Training...

Well, I happen to be in the neighborhood, so I thought I'd stop by. Unfortunately, I can't really give you any very specific help with this--it's the kind of thing that I'd be asking a consultant about. There aren't any practical ways of checking the pressure while you are actually performing an exe...

Re: Random crap

Well, can there be anything more random then me popping up again? For those of you who have assumed that I'm dead, you're wrong. For those of you who have been wishing that I was dead, sorry to disappoint. I'm alive, if not well, still living in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. I'm even still traini...

Re: Pull Up Training

It was good to log on, after not being around for a long time, and seeing this thread near the top of the list! Pullup (or chin up) training is one of the very important but very neglected exercises around. Glad to see that some are still working at it.
