The moral of the story is that an experienced lifter can benefit from techniques that are potentially harmful to inexperienced lifters. The moral to the story is that developing the stretch reflex is a beneficial method of developing power. It is necessary if one want to excel in the most sports. T...

Yeah, the chest bounce doesn't mean anything to me. At my college's gym I'll see scrawny kids that around 150 bouncing 225 off their chest a couple times and think they've accomplished something, meanwhile, I'm watching with my cellphone in my hand ready on the campus emergency #. You're not doing a...

I'm curious how effective they are. It's just one tool of a bunch he's listed for improving your vertical. I'm also curious how often you'd do them. Once about 3 weeks before testing? Repeatedly? His intended programming for improved vertical would be interesting to read. Are you looking to improve...

its true, it takes you twice as long to return to base as it took you to get away from it, so in two weeks worth of rest you'll be 1 week back practically (not true for CVE)

Re: 50 rep rhythm squats question

Your quarter-squat should be much, much higher than your full squat, simply because of the distance traveled. ahh okay so basically im really overloading my system with this... hmm oh and he says this in a different article on his site about the 50-rep rhythm squats; "It's great for training the el...

50 rep rhythm squats question

#3) 50-Rep “Rhythm” Squats – This is a little-known exercise we usually bust out about 3 weeks before one of our athlete’s would be getting tested in the vertical. You would always start your workout with this exercise and you will only perform one all-out work set after a good warm-up. Try to go as...

As for the alternate grip - maybe you just need to get used to it. I've never heard of any issues with it. Only caution is to switch sides each set to avoid any imbalances... KPj well thats probably why, when i was in high school i didnt realize that and for at least a year i would do deadlifts wit...

the progression to doing the snatch would be.... probably some cardio or something that will get your blood pumping and get you loosened up (no static stretching!!!!).
stretch your entire body after workouts or before bed, static stretches held for 1 minute for the optimal effect.

i do use alternate grip but it always throws off my form with DLs, i'll find myself angling to the underhand grip side so i prefer to use the regular overhand grip on deadlifts, i also feel it the most in the hamstrings when I use the overhand grips versus under/over i always thought rack pulls were...
