So if you don't eat carb/protein post workout, you end up wth effects similar to overtraining? I was also wondering about eating an hour pre-workout(same guy told me to do this); what does that do?

I don't have any machines, just freeweights and my body, and I was wondering how to incorporate more legwork into my daily exercises.
