I think my upper traps need a good rolling. Is this easy to hit with a roller? I've been thinking about it and am worried it'll just roll on the shoulder blade.

Or is this more a job for a tennis ball?

Hmm. I sit all day in an office, and have had problems with lower back stiffness which I think may have been due to hip mobility. I have been strecthing my hamstrings a LOT, and doing leg swings before workouts, which seems to have solved the problem. But, if it is potentially caused by tight quads/...

I started running because the dog needed to be walked, and it's more fun than walking. Although it's embarassing when the dog isn't even phased after my 4.5 km run, and I'm about to pass out. Anyway, I also find it a conveniant way to make sure I do something active on my off-days. I only have a sma...

Yeah, I actually travel further so I can go to the gym with two squat racks. Also has a smith machine, which is more popular. Means I hardly ever have to wait for a machine. My close-by gym only has one squat rack, where you often have to wait. The trade-off being that it is a full cage rather than ...

Wow. Just ... wow.

We don't have stuff like that here. I've heard that even our large McValue meals are the size of your smalls.

Where do you guys stand on using the squat rack for bent rows, if it's the only BB available? There are four BBs available in my gym. Two on bench press benches and two in squat racks. Nine times out of ten, the benches are taken. So I will do my BB rows/overhead presses/dead lifts in or in front of...

I'm currently doing SLDLs after squats with no problems. But only going heavy once per week. On my other two workouts in the week, I split up the squats and dead lifts and go light.

Prior to this, I'd go heavy every workout, but would do squats and deads on different days.

Han said it works, but he also said he runs, so that rules him out. So if this is your soul form of cardio, please keep us updated... Allow me to clarify. I used to do a fair bit of running, maybe three times a week for about a year, up until May last year. I then took about 12 months off, and focu...

I've been doing these, as well as tri-sets, for fat loss over the last three weeks or so. Has been working a treat, and interestingly, has translated to increased cardio fitness when I go running.

I agree. I saw a HS kid at the gym the other day wearing SKINNY LEG (stovepipe) JEANS (halfway down his @rse). Obviously was there for a serious workout.

I recently spent 8 months in South Africa, and the gyms there have their machines set-up so that you could go from one to another in circuit, and if you did all the machines in the circuit you got a full body workout (or as close as you can get with machines). They also had interval timer lights. Th...

I actually just started doing those as well, as mentioned in another post. When I started cutting recently, I changed from 5x5 three times a week, alternating vertical/horizontal days, to this: A: 3 x Super-set: Front Squat x 12, Hang Clean x 5, 1 minute rests. 3 x Tri-set: Push-Press x 8, Single Le...

KPj - your experience sounds very similar to mine up until recently. Deads did fry my grip when I started lifting heavy, in the 5 rep range instead of the 8-12 I had done previously. But now I can do 1x5 or 3x3 heavy deads and do my pull-ups or rows afterwards with no problems. I suspect I could do ...

How out of place is it that it needs correction?

I dislocated a finger once, and believe me, you wouldn't be at the computer typing if that was the case.
