Re: Random crap
I don't see how google is any worse than apple or the other big tech companies. They don't seem to have the our way or the highway policies of apple and microsoft used to have.

How much should I be worried about a background check?
Maybe you guys can help me out since I can't seem to get help much anywhere else. You see, I was in the army (I am from US) and did something stupid, I stole from the warehouse I worked at. I was found out, not convicted of crimes but kicked out of the army with an other than honorable discharge. I'...

Re: Am I turning into a wuss?
Thanks ya'll. Given me a lot to think about. And to answer your question doc, yes, normally I was always a go hard or go home. I think I am still gonna take a little bit more time off, and when I really do get back into the swing of things, really ease into it. Especially now that it's warming up, p...

Am I turning into a wuss?
Ok...so the last say I dunno...two or three years...I've had a problem with intense training. And by intense training, I mean mostly strength training, sprints, HIIT, etc. Everytime I start to do intense training like this, I get sick/fatigued and just generally feel crappy all the time, sort of lik...

Re: Where does everyone work?
As of now...I am working the front desk at a hotel. The suck to pay ratio, as pdellorto put it, really sucks here ;). I am a student but currently taking a break after I got my associate's of arts, which is rather pointless without moving on to a four year degree. Trouble is, I'm not sure exactly wh...

Re: Golden Corral
My girlfriend's mom referred to golden corral once as the "feeding trough", and it just gave me such a chuckle that now, that's what I call it. But really...what isn't to love about a buffet? I'd rather get my own food than having a server anyways. Personally...I've never been there...but that's onl...

Another music question
Totally unrelated to hair metal, I need music that will help me concentrate, or at the very least, drown out noise and not be distracting. I typically need absolute silence when I need to read or concentrate, but its nearly impossible to get that at my place. So I was wondering if anyone else has th...

I just did some barefoot running. It was at a park in it was in the grass, but I have a feeling of the better on my feet running on the pavement. I probly did about a mile.

Re: Frogbyte's and Ironman's Argument Thread
Australia's always been one of my top places I want to visit. Then New Zealand, just so I can see where they film lots of movies it seems, if the movie requires beautiful scenery.

Re: Frogbyte's and Ironman's Argument Thread
Ah, you want to hear what I think about Wisconsin, eh? Well, I'm definitely for the teachers and collective bargain rights. I'll give you a direct quote of what I said when that law went through. I said "Scott Walker is a cancerous tumor on the anus of humanity". I went on to say "he's the crusted ...

Instant coffee/tea vs regular brewed stuff
I was trying to get off caffeine permanently but rather than deprive myself of something I love that isn't really too bad for me, I've just decided to try to pick up the healthier sources for it (coffee, tea, and cocoa) rather than sodas (which I drank too much of). When it comes to instant coffee a...

Sherbet. I say it "Sher bert" cause that's how me and every person I know say it. Then some wannabe english professor goes on and on about how there is no r in the second syllable there so it's pronounced "Sher bet". How do you guys say it? Oh and if English was always logical, then Knight would sou...
