That hardly seems fair. Just think how old Jason will be in 20 years!
I'll be 49. Bring it! :angryfire:

Re: Smart Fitness University

Thing is, you say that you're the fitness director of a chain of clubs, but you have to ask a bunch of chumps like us these questions. That leaves us feeling like you aren't what you say you are. Shouldn't you be able to conclude this for yourself with fairly minimal effort? What organization are y...

This would automatically add 50lbs to your squat and deadlift. Bench would still suck though.

Re: What's your opion of this workout

I think that CSCS still carries some authority, at least in many people's perception. It's probably a good thing for your business for you to keep it. Yep, that's the reason why I renewed it. Even though the test itself is a joke. We'll put it this way, I passed that test while still a junior in my...

Re: What's your opion of this workout

I'm surprised that NSCA is publishing something that still recommends crunches! If there is an "advanced power athlete" who has the time for this, well, maybe. Off season. There's something here for everyone--big compounds, isolation, 2 kinds of curls for the body builders in the crowd. Amazing. No...

Re: Pregnant friend - advice on regular exercise

I can't think of any form of resistance exercise that I would discourage. Cleans and snatches will get tricky as time goes along, but other than that.... The next question will be about exercise for the baby. I recommend not forcing him or her into a strength training program until he or she learns...

Re: Evalute My Workout

Yes, they stimulate but don't recruit new fibers which is the key to getting stronger and increase the ability to apply force. Ummm There's a reason why 99.99% of track and field strength coaches do the olympic lifts. They improve rate of force production, motor control, and rate coding. All of whi...

Re: Belt usage

For me, I guess it just depends on what your goals are. For my adult clients, most of them just want to get better at the game of life. So, I make them go without a belt. Personally, the deadlift is a competitive event. Not just an exercise. So, I wear a belt so I can lift the heaviest weight possib...

Re: Evalute My Workout

I'm a sprinter looking to add some power to my back side so I can achieve better top end speed. I run at high speeds so It seems pointless to perform olympic lifts. What do you all think? So, since your already fast, you don't need to get faster? I've trained some pretty high level sprinters, and w...

Re: Random crap

I thought I was getting lazy so I decided to forego and deload. After 9 straight weeks of 531, I am beat up. I think I'm gonna deload next week. Maybe you should try eating some Nunn Better High Protein Blend dog food. I heard it pretty much turns you into superman. Seriously, it's better than AAS....
