I did them while doing the 5x5. Hands would be completely on the smooth area with the pinky touching the edge of knurling. I really only did them because they were part of the routine. If I had known I could do 5x5 with dips, I would have done dips instead. I don't feel like either of them really do...

Don't major the minor. I don't think dips would be a good main lift. They are a good tricep and chest exercise, but I would still have a main lift like bench press, floor press, overhead press or incline press. DB BP is also a very good exercise, and better for the shoulders for many. Also I don't ...

Push day week 2 got ruined by work and the need to TCOB at home before going on vacation. Did a few dozen pushups, few sets of chins on a pipe in the basement(if you can call it that) and some dips from my desk. Unfortunately I'll be in MB SC the next few days and this basically screws my main days....

What that means is 3 days back to back, 1 day rest, then start over 3 days on, 1 day rest.

If you are looking to have a set schedule and lift three days a week, best way to split it would be push/pull/legs.

I like my weeks to look like this. xaxbxcxxaxbxcx = 2 weeks.
