Correct. I guess I didn't make myself clear. I'm hanging from the door itself, as in the only grip I can do is palms facing away.

Either you're very light, or that's one hell of a door. Even if the frame and the door hold up, wouldn't that make the door hang funny? I'm relatively light (155 pounds) and the door is pretty sturdy, but I'm not sure what the big deal is. Should I keep on doing this elbow leverage thing or should ...

The thing about door pullups is that I can use the door as leverage. As in I can place my elbows on the door and use their stable position to pull from. I feel this works the biceps quite a bit more if I'm not mistaken.

Door pull ups versus Regular pull ups

First off, which are harder? I haven't been able to access a gym in a few months, so I use my door to do pullups.

Second, I feel that door pullups work the biceps more than regular pullups. Does anyone know how door pullups compare to reguloar pullups?

For cardio, have you tried HIIT yet? http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp

I sound like a broken record because I say this so much but I absolutely love HIIT. Try it out for a few weeks., you have nothing to lose.

If your body can handle it, I would suggest doing HIIT. (http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp).

It has done wonders for me in terms of losing fat while maintaining body weight.

determine broken bones?

I played frisbee on the beach last night and while I was cutting to the disc, I planted my foot into another person's foot quite hard. The foot was hit quite hard and for the rest of the game, it was in pain, but I just played through it. This morning, it's more of the same kind of pain, but I can s...

Hahaha, that's such a terrible photoshop picture. Look at the guy's neck. Unless he is Jon Bastow, your neck WILL grow bigger after you pack on 30 pounds.

I say it's a scam.

Has anyone rooted the cause of such high rates of prostate cancer? Is this cancer happening regardless of location or diet?

Pistols (1 legged squats) are really great for lower body.

Hand stand pushups (as said before) are really a great excercise for your upper body.

If you're feeling adverturous, try doing some gymnastic level bodyweight excercises like tuck planches. http://www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/229/

I can say that I have seen both being consumed, and in fact consumed alcohol myself. I will never use weed. Period. So I must side with alcohol being the safer choice. This is mostly based on the possibilty of psychological addiction to weed, as well as it being smoked (affecting the lungs directly...

I just did HIIT last night for 8 minutes, going as hard as possible throughout. By the last half of the final sprint, my quads were cramping up big time. Today, they are still slightly tight. Personally, I treat HIIT as if it were another leg excercise. I usually do it after I finish any strength tr...

RyanA, Interesting point. The legalization of drugs makes much sense in terms of economic advantages. First off, we can cut spending on the war against marijuana. No more expensive cop raids on homes to find teenagers with a bag of weed. More importantly, it will cut down on arrests. Simply put, it ...

It may take some getting used to for doing 12 reps at once. I remember when I first started squatting, I had the same problem and I'd literally be dizzy by the end of the workout.

But if it is still too much for you, you might want to try a 5x5 to get your conditioning up.

The legalization of marijuana will never happen in the US, at least not in our life times. Who would bring about this change? Sure, there are kids everywhere that are up in arms about the legalization of marijuana. But how motivated can they be to bring about change? How motivated can they be when t...
