If you're doing sets with 4 reps or so, it's only appropriate to move up the weight if you can do the same amount of reps with the added weight. But for the most part, on lifts like the deadlift, adding the lightest plate on both sides is hardly noticeable.

Actually, it doesn't interfere as much as one would think, thankfully.

People say customer service is a thing of the past...so are respectful customers. Customer service wouldn't be a thing of the past if people hadn't turned into hateful, spiteful whiny little cheap ingrates. I've had dealings with bad customer service don't get me wrong, but some things people get m...

Still working hard -- just been busy and frankly haven't bothered to fill the logs. There are at least 6 work outs that I've left out. There's also been waaay too much drinking going on every weekend for the past month. I know, it sounds like I'm an alcoholic, but don't worry, I'm a student. Implici...

What about when you do hamstring-heavy exercises like the deadlift or straight-legged deadlifts? Do you feel that pain then? It might be an idea to do some exercises to get the hamstring used to being worked, and possibly do some stretches after working out. You definitely don't want to break yourse...

I still can't believe you almost lost your job due to coworkers starting rumors......that's f-ed up. Yeah well, jealously is a bitch... I hate the double standards associated with being big/muscular. If I wear a cutoff to class when it's 80 degrees out, I'm 'showing off'. But if 150lbs kid w...

In other news, the fact that i'm training this guy is drumming up some controversy in my gym. Weird. I can understand it from some people, such as, people who were in on a Monday that don't know me or have been me train. All they can see is that i'm a new trainer and half the size of the guy. That'...

I'm not entirely sure how much it is, as I take it in capsules. But it says "6 capsules at most", and I simply ignore that and often go for 10 capsules. I don't eat fish very often, it's pretty expensive, so I try to do what I can with these capsules.

No pain, no gain. In this case, pain = bad taste.

I have vanilla myself, I just drink it with water. It doesn't even taste that bad. Just like it tastes with milk just.. diluted.

Bah. I had a really busy day, after having way too little sleep, and came home and fell asleep. Slept too long to make it to the gym.

I'll go tomorrow instead, though, and wednesday again.

I also need to throw in two workouts I haven't put in the journal yet.. When I can be arsed, heh.

A lot of people don't alternate intensity and that works too. Yep. Mostly novices. In fact, that's the most widely-accepted definition of what's a novice and what's an intermediate lifter. If you can still progress linearly, you're still a novice. Once that won't work (and that time will com...
