Re: What I learned in 2011

Excessive tricep isolation isn't just great for body builders

Stick to a set of goals (don't see-saw cut/bulk)

Finishing isn't enough - work until tired

For the love of god... eat... eaaatttt!!!! - dont stop

Re: Pregnant friend - advice on regular exercise

Thanks a lot guys, and congrats Robt-aus, can't say I don't envy you (I'm 28 now and your talk of a fit/healthy/active wife and child made me all broody and jealous :red: ) - she's (my friend) mostly a typical "Dont want to bulk" girl which is generally why I roll my eyes at her questions, but with ...

Pregnant friend - advice on regular exercise

Good Morning, I have a friend who has recently been blessed/cursed ( ) with pregnancy! She has asked me if I could have a quick check around to see what the do's and dont's are of exercise whilst pregnant. I said I'm fairly sure nearly everything is fine as long as she takes it easy and leave...

Re: Intensity and Rep Variations beside 5/3/1

Simply put, I dont think there would be much of an issue repeating the 3+ with only a slightly higher % than the preceeding set

replace raw weight for speed of lifts - it still has to be "your all"

Re: Healthy Eating Tips

I expected a much angrier response from you Stu, notice he recommends only using corn or soya oil, removing the fat from meat, choosing only low fat milk and eating "wholemeal bread as your staple food"? you've obviously softened your stance oooo hoo hooooo jesus :) thats some painful stuff right t...

Re: Designing grip work "accessory"

I used to think forearm work related to strange isolation exercises but I definately think even hypertrophy relates to grip work rather than crap like reverse curls. I've ordered some grippers but understand they are only part of the picture. I think I'll try towel pullups along with plate pinches, ...

Designing grip work "accessory"

Hi all, I've got a new thing to over-analyze ! I bet you can't wait to hear about it  I would like to develop my grip work to a decent level, as well as being stronger than average I would like a grip which could be considered the same. I have never had a manual job (bar some very basic stuff ...

Re: Random crap

a kid just came into my shop and asked if I had any whey protein which "wasn't for mass." I sold him the same whey as everyone else. "Can you even get as big as that without steroids or those protein shakes?" I should have someone ask me that, or something along those lines, as I'm about to do a de...

Hmm yea, depending on the state of him the taxi would be my main thought in case he was a fair bit out (i.e. he got a bus in for an hour) but who knows, like you say maybe most taxis wouldnt have taken him especially if they werent sure of his funds. Rather than post again.. What's with omega 3/fish...
