Re: Bench Press
If you can't lift a weight without help, you are trying to lift too much weight. Go back down to a weight that you can handle completely by yourself. Strength training is not about lifting more weight (at least, it shouldn't be) - it's about getting stronger.

Re: your favourite routine and exercise
On another note, I think "5 x 10" could be one of the most underrated set/rep schemes around. Looks so simple but it's so brutal. It's amazing how you just seem to die after the third set especially. Quite humbling. KPj It'll make you grow. I credit the BBB volume for making my backbone disappear b...

If it were me, I'd hit him hard with SS for the month that you have him and not even worry about the diet.

Re: TL:DR - change the breakfast. more eggs. spinach. proper
Hi there! :) I think you are off the mark. Keep it simple. Stop counting calories. Stop incorporating bread and or cereals into every meal. Drop the milk, too. Try to eat a pound of meat product a day and 2 pounds of non-starchy vegetables. Start lifting heavy things and putting them down again. May...

Levis- Look up the following exercises: Barbell: Squat Deadlift Press Bench Press Do these, do them heavy, and eat a lot more things that have a face. And don't worry about gaining a little bit of fat. This is the recipe for getting big and strong. As for your trainer - if he is anything like 90% of...

10 mins warmup SLD cardio
10 mins alternate 1min/1min level sprints
5 minutes cool down SLD cardio
-----
Felt great, the running helped loosen up a bit of tightness in my lower back. Running sprints was a lot easier at 190 lbs.

Hi, this is my exercise/diet log. Height: 6' Weight: 214 Goal: Get strong like bull, try not to get fat doing it. Workout is Wendler's 5/3/1 Boring But Big. I figured my 1-rep maxes very conservatively as I want to segue into this and not get injured. Diet figured using FitDay. Currently waiting to ...

Re: Low expectations
In other words, at 270lbs, 6' 3" and maybe a 150 lb bench 5RM, would you work to get stronger or leaner ? I won't say you are that out of shape to begin with. If you are anywhere near 20%, all you are is some shrugs & lateral raises away from looking like a brick $h1t house in a shirt. lol But seri...

Re: Belly Fat Increasing.
I have recently joined gym. In order to complete the energy requirements of my body i think i am overeating and the fat is accumulating in my belly. I have increased my milk (buffalo milk, usually skimmed) intake three times to what i used to have when i wasn't exercising. Same way my wheat intake ...

I don't have a lot to add, except.. I would be quite leary of FitDay's calorie used estimates. They seem a bit high for me. Cliff I had a gut feeling about that. I eat a lot of meat, so I tend to calculate to lbs on FitDay - does a pound of chicken really have 1600+ calories? Depends on which part....
