I had a gut feeling about that. I eat a lot of meat, so I tend to calculate to lbs on FitDay - does a pound of chicken really have 1600+ calories?

Are you including and HIIT, complexes, sprinting, sled dragging, etc? You can a metabolic boost out of Boring but Big but you have to keep the rest periods short and the bar speed high. That limits the weight a bit and may or may not give you the results you want. You might do better with an agress...

Leaning Out Game Plan

Hi folks. I am trying to lean out a bit. If I had to guess I'd put myself at around 19%bf. I just switched from SS to working on Wendler's 5/3/1 boring but big program 4 days a week. I want to make sure that my plan will get me where I want to go - keeping my muscle and dropping some of the fat. Cur...

Later in my SS progression I consistently found that my first work set was crap regardless of my warmups. Once I get through that set though, set 2 and 3 were usually much better. I just chalked set 1 up to convincing myself that I could handle the weight.

I want to thank all of you folks for the input in this thread. I did take a break as suggested, then went through a significant reset, and worked myself beyond the strength levels from the initial post. My numbers now put me into the "Intermediate" strength standards on exrx.net. I'm also finding it...

ya, you're either going to have to have to learn to live with fat gains, or accept slower strength gains. A lot of people go back and forth with bulking/cutting diets but Im not convinced that its a terribly efficient way to gain strength so much as its a body builder thing. Alright - Jan 31 and I'...

So I decided to back off a bit and take from 12/22 - 1/4 off from lifting (except for some light dumbell complexes just to do something), enjoy the holidays, then get back into it. I figure I'll knock 20 lbs off the top of my lifts on 1/4/2011, and start over with 5lb jumps on my squat / DL and micr...

I'm feeling hurt up.

Please forgive this post, I'm going to sound like a true noob (which I am) so I hope you guys don't mind. Lately I have been not feeling 100% around my workouts. Various aches and pains. I'm a couple months in to my training schedule and I'm worried I've upped my weights too far, too fast. Currently...

Or he could be eating ~3lbs of venison. Which is certainly possible in a day. Sounds like he's wasting quite a bit of money - I also find it hard to believe he's actually consuming 900g of protein a day, even 5 whey protein shakes - assuming a TRIPLE scoop, would only be about 375g protein. So lets ...

I'm currently taking 6g/day of fish oil capsules. I found it difficult to find a solid recommendation for the proper amount other than "balance you O3/O6 to 1:4 or less". Do you think I need more?

That sort of sensation usually relates to irritation directly to a nerve. The nerves to the forearm all run through the axilla, and stretch some when reaching overhead. They are commonly injured in accidents that involve an overhead pull, like falling and grabbing something to try to prevent the fa...

OH Press Shock

You guys are going to think I'm nuts. Yesterday was the first time since starting the lifting again that I have been able to OHP 135. On the last set, on the third, fourth, and fifth rep, I got what I can only describe as an electric shock running down both forearms and into my elbow. It kind of fel...

I only drink black coffee. I cant stomach anything else. The muffins are the cat's tookus. I load mine with s...
