I think that is what they were talking about. Dropping intake by a large amount all at once. It is a legitimate concern. If too many calories are cut out your body is going to say "Oh, s*** -- I better start storing this stuff" and that's what you don't want. I would think it would be normal to fee...

Hence, my comment, doing something wrong. The occasional heavy calorie deficit day here and there is ok, but you should not be doing it everyday. That's your body's way of telling you that you're doing something wrong. You should listen to it. If someone is trying to lose weight, calorie deficit is...

I try to run 5 miles every week and on occasion I'll have a day where I just can't do it. This used to really bother me because I'd feel like I was losing progress but I think there are a lot of factors that could cause it and just see if you can do better next time. I really wouldn't let one day be...

It is very bad to consume pure sodium.

You will explode.

0g trans, 3g carb, 61g protein, 23g fat - nice. However it does have a days worth of sodium, and is no doubt teeming with MSG. Sodium isn't really bad, unless you have a problem with it. If you have kidney problems or high blood pressure you should be concerned with your sodium intake. Same with MS...

Yeah, it was the chemical part I was concerned at. Some of the stuff in it is a lot of rubbish but, the whole Mercury, arsenic thing is beyond my understanding. As someone commented in one of the blogs that I read about it in - it would of been good to compare the same findings to a glass of water,...

Those double downs are pretty good. I get a 2 of them grilled. I haven't tried them, yet but I probably will. They surprised me with the grilled chicken; if you look at the nutrition info on their site they are not bad at all though I'm a bit suspicious once I tasted them (they do *not* taste healt...

"oversupply protein"? Can't image what ads those were. There's no protein in Coco Puffs. The Double Down ? ;) But yeah... I don't see how over-consumption of protein is any huge problem in our society. Protein will get broken down and stored as fat like anything else if it's not used but has a pret...

ADA figures out companies don't cater to people's health

Still, the results are pretty amusing: http://www.adajournal.org/article/S0002-8223%2810%2900240-3/abstract Results suggest that a diet consisting of observed food items would provide 2,560% of the recommended daily servings for sugars, 2,080% of the recommended daily servings for fat, 40% of the re...

I'm not a doctor, but nice back development! For what it's worth I had kinda that same thing -- still do a bit. It's more when I'm lifting than anything else, but I had it pretty bad a while ago. It has gone away a good amount though since I started throwing in more shoulder workouts from different ...

It can help, or during... but if you are going to masturbate during your sets I'd recommend using dumbbells. I've tried it with barbells before and hurt myself that way.

If you want to make sure your testosterone levels stay high, you should eat lots of red meat and masturbate frequently.

Yeah. The thing is, I'll use DOMS as a sign of work too. But it's not the best or only sign. It's a bad thing if it's the only sign you use - you get into that "I must leave this workout wrecked" mode, as if this workout was the end-all and be-all of training. It's not, it's a step in a series of w...
