Todays work got me to thinking about one of the reasons I think we stall out. I think we get comfortable with the weight we push and don't really give a max effort. I know I lift alone most of the time and I don't want to get hurt so sometimes I think I leave a rep in the tank. I feel the same way....

Not crap. Just a few suggestions. You might want to alternate the squats and DLs, at least as you start getting the weights heavier. Or even squat 2 days and then DL 1 day. The recommendation is to take it with a high glycemic index carbohydrte, like maltodextrin, dextrose/glucose. Something like grape juice would probably work.
