I would stick to compound movements. Squat Deadlift Bench Press Overhead Press Bentover Row Keep the workouts simple and start light while adding weight each time. Focus on form and tempo of the lifts. Try 3 days a week and limit them to one hour. This has worked for me and might for for you. I find...

You could add pullups, chinups, and pushups to work your arms. Do three sets of maxs.

Very few people have to really worry about getting too big. Most women will use this as an excuse to not lift (my wife included, lol). That being said, I did have a roommate in college who did not lift because he would not fit into his clothes. He was a big farm boy from Ohio and when he did lift hi...

Sometimes if I am sore or stiff while I am squating I will hang off the bar and do a couple deep squats between sets.

Thanks for the input! I think I also need to arch my back and plant my feet further back. Also, as I understand it, I should keep my elbows at or above the bench. Is this correct? By the way, I am only benching to get stronger, not lift more weight. What I mean is that I would rather lift correctly ...

I also understand the grip width plays a role in here. I typically use a grip width of shoulder width plus two hand widths.

At my gym, I have seen guys get no closer than 4 inches and some that bonce the bar of their chest as if it were a spring board. Both se...

Would you advise doing one arm or two arm farmer's walk? I would think one arm would involve more core.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the input Tim. Any suggestion on an exercise I could add to increase grip strength? Was thinking of loading up the bar with heavy weight and then hand for as long as I can for 3 sets and do this twice a week. Thoughts?

I mention the belly depth test in jest, but I do think there is some truth to it. When I was sitting on my sofa back in March of this year, I notice it took a great deal of effort to extact my belly button lint due to the increased depth. This motivated me to get back into the gym and do something a...

Check the depth of your belly button. The deeper it is the fat you are. Of course this only works for inies not outies.
