my wife says I can't work my brain and mouth at the same time
It's allowed, however, apparently, takes some skill.

Re: Went to E.N.T.
heh, lol No dude. Nothing. I joked between the root canal and while the crown was being made (Cerec machine there)... Did you all "slip me a feel good pill, 'cause I didn't expect to be this relaxed". It must have been the euphoric release of stress. I always pre-worry and stuff works out. Come to t...

I suspect this whole thread was created bya 'new' member just so Doc could name drop the PNG Netball International Girls team.

Re: Went to E.N.T.
I don't want to oversell the joy of root canals and dental work entriely, but wow, I put off going 25 yrs, for that? He was AMAZING! I'll presume he didn't leave any files behind in the hole/canals, and we'll continue recovery with minimal pain At one point, while the shots were being administered I...

Re: Went to E.N.T.
I have a cracked first lower left molar. Recommendation: Root canal + crown. cost $1650. I am joining a dental plan (not insurance) that is immediately usuable and will reduce costs about 30% - 40%, for $100/yr family. I was happy to see that. My wife also has an HSA we have yet to tap. Will still n...

Re: Thoughts on MMA
I agree
It was good to be Canadien. Sorta Shocked Nick Ring wasn't given the decision.
and I agree with Nick Diaz. He did look flat. GSP makes everyone look much worse than they ever look elsewhere.
Hendricks with his wrestling... nah, what am I saying. He'll have a punchers chance.

Re: Went to E.N.T.
Ken Had I not had this same issue last yr, with the sensation behind/in the ear, like nut is lodged inside, I would certainly be leaning towards dental. Even so, no doubt the trigger now for acute pain is cold liquid. But its not a sudden sharp pain; instead, it a more slow vice like pain that ramps...

Went to E.N.T.
last Friday I was "diagnosed" with an ear infection (viral + bacterial) at one of these urgent care centers frequented by folks like me who don't have their own doctor. I recall a similar diagnosis the last time I visted a doctor, sometime last year-ish. But this time there is even more radiant pain...

Re: Random crap
yes that is true. I can help in a modest way. If we were a large enoug group it could make some impact. I'll pledge $50 and match the next $2500 with 10 cents on the $ additionally That could get the ball rolling if it takes off Any takers? which reminds me, our numbers and particpation are dwarfed ...

Firearm shells fired and left in public places
This thread was inspired surprisingly by Matt Z. "I saw two .380 shell casings (fired) in a gas station parking lot on my way to the gym today" It got me thinking. Whether you are a tree hugging, sit-n-pee liberal, or a hard core gun toting homosexual hating right wing nut, you care about your right...

Re: Random crap
if only there was a way to set up some sort of pay receivables account where your pals could sign up and transfer some funds to help out a good doctor givng his time in a remote devasted? area. Serious question: Do you hurt for resources for the clean up? Sometimes I see those storms in Haiti, etc, ...

Re: Optimal training routine for 2 days per week
ephs, somewhere there is discussion here on volume for pulling vs pushing. In fact there a several. Here's a cursory summary - In life, you tend to pull for longer periods: climb, lift, carry. While you push for shorter cycles: blocking, jumping, throwing - the upper back responds to a lot of volume...
