Re: Why don't we attract more quality members?
You haven't taken into consideration people like me, that just lurk from time to time, take in information, and rarely contribute because let's face it, there's more than enough people here that can give great advice, and I've not got the experience/knowledge in order to contribute. But it depends w...

Drop the close grip bench for Gullotine press? afaik the wider the grip the more chest involved.

Re: Need Beginning Gym Program For sport Cricket
One good way of increasing batting skill I think is to practice using a thinner bat, I used to play out back with a bit of architrave I'd cut to shape. I heard something about a some pro cricketer who used to practice all day with a pole or something, similar idea anyway. Can't remember who that was...
Re: Creatine
Sounds good man. I'm also thinking of trying out creatine, wondering whether anyone could help me choose a product? Got a few here; http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=creatine+monohydrate" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , obviously I want th...

Re: Things you like and hate about your gym
Yep, that's basically it, most gyms just don't cater for what most of us on here want to do at gyms. For instance my local gym doesn't have a power rack doesn't have heavy BB's, the only ones there are fixed, and are too light. The only 'bench' there is for people to set on an incline and do bicep c...

Re: Nutrition
Ok canned fish, bad idea, got it. I didn't really know what to get, plus it had a lot of protein in. the chicken and mackeral wasn't canned though, so hopefully that's all good. Is there a way of finding out how much protein a fish has?, for instance this mackeral, one fillet is 225 cal, 17.9g fats,...

Re: Nutrition
I'm a lazy mommas boy so my cooking isnt great either, but take the plunge with at least some stuff to fall back on. Yeah, the only thing I fall back on is takeaways, and toast with ham/egg/bacon, I'm getting sick of them to be honest. 5 egg omelletes are something Ill have reasonably often if momm...

Is there a list somewhere of what types of vegetables are high calorie/low cal? @Ken Thanks for the info. So do you calculate your calorie intake by first counting, how muc...

Nutrition
It's come to my attention that I know absolutely nothing about nutrition, and generally throughout the day have no idea what to eat. I end up having some microwave burger which has around 15g of protein, but that's a 'processed food' right? I want to just maximize my protein intake throughout the da...

Re: hyperextending on squats/deads
I happened to fix this on my squat a few weeks ago, I was overextending a little, and when I stopped doing it I achieved a below parrallel squat for the first time. I think I use to sort of cue myself to keep my back flat, and as I hadn't got enough thoracic extension, I was extending at the lumbar ...
Re: bench
With long limbs, do you also have trouble with squats? I also seem to have long limbs, thigh particularly. It looks mechanically impossible for me to squat to depth sometimes, not that I'm quite as tall as you two.

So, i'm off with the girlfriend for an audition for a tv game show in the next few weeks. This is what happens when you leave your girlfriend home alone on weekends. Lol - I got Jeremy Kyled like that :) Was good though, even though the guys a prick (believe it or not) I'm in full belief that he's ...
