Re: Should I deload?
This is what I've just ordered http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... ss_product" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Didn't realise how much this stuff would cost tbh.

Re: Should I deload?
Ok, cool, It's just that after reading a few of them, alot seem to contain creatine, should those ones be avoided? as realisticly I want just protein. Right now I tend to have like 2 glasses of milk and alot of meat throughout the day, but milk seems to mess with me a little bit so I'm gonna replace...

Re: Should I deload?
@Jungledoc I probably shouldn't have posted my routine, as it's not really accurate, I tend to just pick a few exercises from those lists, and then do a few sets of them. But the main focus is always on the compound lifts. About day 3/4, I don't have a spotter so I do db presses rather than bench pr...

Should I deload?
Hey, back with results after starting to lift religiously 3-4 times a week, not following any known training program. Just sort of doing it my way, but anyways It's been going well, just hit like a wall atm and feel maybe I should deload, I recently started to just take wednesday off in between as s...

Re: Overactive upper traps
Probably because I'm trying too hard too shift my weight postereilly
. I'm finding the idea of knees out and shift weight to heels quite contradicting right now, so far I can get my knees just about parralel in a squat and then I fall, I'll perservere though.

Re: Overactive upper traps
Ok, just one more question I've got about the squats, deadlifts and touch toe progressions, they all involve posterior weight shifting, when I do it I find my toes are off the floor and I'm in constant dorsiflexion, is this ok? or does the weight need to be shifted just enough not to lift the front ...

Re: Random crap
Damn you have bad work hours lol, 8 till 11?!! Most I've had is 630 till 5-6, and I hated it lol. I can imagine it's very hard to find workout time on that schedule, I mean personally I need to have energy/ be in the mood to work out, the morning and after work just aren't times where I have any int...

Re: Overactive upper traps
Don't blame the exercise. Blame the exerciser..... It's a rare occasion that I can start someone out on single leg deadlifts. Single leg deadlifts are an amazing exercise but, if you're not ready for them, they'll look real messy and hurt you rather than help. Sounds like your weight shifts forward...

Re: Overactive upper traps
Thanks for the link, mark. No idea why it only lets me preview, tried several times. I'm gonna work on that alot more, I can only get just touch my upper shin right now, which isn't great, used to be alot worse though. You need stability around the knees and lower back. The only way to get them is t...

Re: Overactive upper traps
Don't think he gave a specific reason, he just watched me attempt it and I was completely off balance, he just said no no no.. lol. I want to do lower body work but as mentioned I get too many issues with it, squats I just fall over if I try to do them, maybe lack of dorsi flexion, dunno just specul...

Re: Overactive upper traps
What's the goal of the program? There's no lower body work in there. One thing I would mention is your form. It's very common to see people shift the head forward and/or up when doing near enough every exercise. In your case you would just be enforcing it. Try and "pack" the neck when lifting. I te...

Re: Overactive upper traps
I used to have this problem, do you have golf balls at home and a foam roller? My favorite thing is popping my back with the foam roller under my thoracic spine (middle back area where the shoulder blades are) when my back feels tight and stiff, especially after being on the computer for a while. s...

Re: Overactive upper traps
Typically, forward head posture will come with elevated shoulder blades, which can be from shortening of the upper traps. You could say that it's the upper traps that are heavily affecting the forward head posture. It's a chicken and egg scenario, really. I wouldn't over think it - you know you hav...
