Overactive upper traps
Hello, I'm having more issues around my upper back, specifically upper traps/levator scapulae. they seem to just get so tight and takeover movements, for instance I just did some lateral and front raises, made sure to pinch my scapula aswell as depress it, but the upper traps seem to get the most ou...

Re: Neanderthal no more question
(i found a gym with a squat rack) i am nearing the end of the last part of the program and I really am not seeing improvements with my lordosis :( it looks like i am going to have to endure jokes about me having a "fat ass" forever.... the best I can do is, when standing next to a mirror, is squeez...

Re: Prone Y, Scapula issues
Are their any good alternatives to face pulls? As I don't have access to a public gym, I could try and make one through pullys and cables though. I've tried to do dumbell rows too, but I find the rear delts just do all the work rather than the middle back. I will give rear delt flys a go though. Tha...

Re: Prone Y, Scapula issues
Yeah It's not that exercise. Here's a link showing the one I'm trying to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3EHKNZ0ack" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It looks a simple exercise and is probably supposed to be, but I can't do it anywhere near as shown in that video, which leads me to ...

Prone Y, Scapula issues
I'm having trouble performing this exercise (prone y) properly. I seem to just progress into a plank exercise when I attempt to depress the scapula. I seem to have limited to non-existant thoracic extension + I'm upper trap dominant and have been for some time, shrugs will just send me into spasms a...

I understand it's difficult over the net, I'll try to explain as best I can and hope you can help, it's almost a last resort as I've been to chiro, docter's, physio etc. To be honest the cause was something along the lines of stupidly doing neck side bridges and other neck exercises which focused on...

Muscle imbalances
Ok, I've had this problem for about 2 years now which is an imbalance in the lumbar erector, possibly QL and oblique too, and also in the cervical region both on the right side. I've struggled to really improve it, I've been doing unilateral work like neck rotations and suitcase deadlifts for the le...
