Just curious - what does your back routine look like?
Usually its deadlifts, one arm dumbell rows and lat pull downs(different variations). Although am not deadlifting t the moment due to a lack of grip because of a broken finger.

biceps

I'v been stuck on a routine of different types of dumbell curls and ez cable attachment as my bicep exercises due to a lack of equiptment in my old gym. Today I moved to a new gym its equiptment looks like its from the 70's but everything seems to be there. So was just wondering in your opinions now...

Re: bench

You're rite it's not a very good setup, half the time you end up waiting for ages on equiptment too I just go because of the convenience of it being walking distance. I'm moving next month so will be glad to join a new place ...barbells included!

This sentence doesn't make sense to me. If there is a place with no bar, is it a gym? I don't think so!

Re: bench

Robert I trained on an off for four months then got a virus that ended up going into my heart and making it swell which hospitalised me (nasty!) The doctor stopped me training for four months so I'v been training for four months since that 4/5 times a week (generally), pretty much from when I first...

Re: bench

45lbs is impressive to add if you've been stuck what ever way you look at it!. Yeh - would love to say it always happens but it's more a one off. It can go either way. Sometimes you fix some ones technique and they lift less for a while. I just nit picked the best bench session I've ever coached lo...

Re: bench

Your near identicle to me in those respects then! Out of curiosity, what's your squat and pullup numbers like? My squats are terrible anything over a 100kgs an my hamstrings start to go, have to say they are the least favourite part of my workout an I'v missed them loads of times. Pullups am not to...

Re: bench

I don't know why my deadlift is that good it far out weighs any of the rest of my lifts!..being 6"2.5 probably helps. The broken finger makes sense of what you were saying now. I like you am 6' 2" but a little lighter than you at 200lbs or so. My best deadlift is 205kg, although i've not tested in ...

Re: bench

With long limbs, do you also have trouble with squats? I also seem to have long limbs, thigh particularly. It looks mechanically impossible for me to squat to depth sometimes, not that I'm quite as tall as you two. Yeah my squats are terrible not much weight, depth or form, my hamstrings are super ...

45lbs is impressive to add if you've been stuck what ever way you look at it! I'll have a read of that Dave Tate and try an get my blades back further, lower and tighter and try the low rep scheme for a while see how it goes and let you all know...Thanks for the advice,

Matthew.

I'v definitely got very long limbs and a 34 inch waist. In my other post I mentioned that me being 6"2.5 helps my deadlift.

Re: bench

I broke my finger a couple of months back I havn't regained full function yet. I can usually do pull ups and deadlifts fine :) Ah -- sorry I missed that in your post. With a 200kg DL you should be giving me advice! Don't Know about that I'v only been training a few months...don't know why my deadli...

Re: bench

Ah, ok. Well a 200kg DL would indicate that you have a decent foundation then! When you fail on the bench, what happens? Where does the bar stop and does anything move around i.e. elbows flare up chest cave in? Switching to a lower rep range at least some of the time to get you "straining" under he...

I don't quite understand?! How can you have grip for one arm rows but not deadlifts?!
The deadlifts over 200 kgs.
