In the above post, at the legs part I said, in brackets "this includes calfs" - for the record, I don't pyramid calfs (done it once and never again!), I meant that calfs were included in my Leg day

lol, Blue nose, that's the arguement, what you said is what I have always believed.... But apparently, there is no "facts" to back this up, or no 'science' to back it up is a better way to put it. Elemental - I do get results that I am happy with, although my gains have been slowing down a little re...

I wouldn't say I am beyond full bodys but my full body routine went from around 45 minutes to 2 hours in duration, as I started lifting heavier - especially as I was reaching my body weight and beyond in some exercises. Personally I like the pain you get from training and I stopped getting this with...

lol, the original question in this topic was - why perform body part/muscle splits? Reading through the posts and looking at everyones goals, it seems a more appropriate question would be - Why would you train like a bodybuilder? On another note, as someone who trains with body part/muscle splits, I...

I would like to see what everyones goals are? Particularly George G and Ryan A, then the best thing, I think, is to see how each others goals affect our methods. Would just like to state that I am not against a push/pull splits. Only reason I have not tried it is I have only been training 2 years an...

Hi, Let me write my personal opinion, and give you a little background - which probably won't help you much. I'm 21 and have been training strictly for 2 years, my goal has always been strength and size. So i guess i'm included in the new breed of bodybuilders that always do the splits in question. ...

ive used creatine a few times and never had any problems with it. in my opinion, it is best to use it when you hit a plateau, as it definitely gives you a 'boost', especially the first time you take it. I was quite sceptical of it but tried it anyway and I loved it, I felt like I could do my workout...

Dont know if this will help, but I don't time my rests, I just wait until i've got my breath back...

I do time it however when I do superset etc so it really depends on how you are training...

Can you perform too may sets/exercises per muscle?

Out of curiosity - can you perform too may sets per muscle? Reason being, out of my own enjoyment, I like to do a lot of extra exercises in my work outs - when I have time! As an example, on a chest day I sometimes perform up to 25 sets on chest alone. This could consist of 7 exercises, with sets of...

Milk and Bodybuilding

Hi Would like some info on Milk in relation to body building. I know it has Whey and Casein in it and obvously what it says in the label but it seems too good to be true - in reference to price. For some reason, it is only recently that I have realised the amount of protein in it so I now drink it q...

I would also like to know this, as I feel like my grip fails before my muscles when training Back. I have been doing wrist curls but not for long enough to tell you how effective they are. I do 2 exercises targeting my forearms, one is on this site http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Brachioradialis...

Are you referring to close grip benches with the grip reversed? If so, I was curious about this exercise also. I can see how it would work and also how it would be benificial due to the change but I would like to know how members here rate the reverse close grip bench press in comparison to the over...
