Re: Why what and when for 1rep max

If you are training for Maximal Strength then you need to know what you can do for 1 rep - and that too on lifts you care about: for example, if your goal is to have a big Overhead Press, then yes: you need to train singles and such and work up to a big number. If you are training to look good then ...

Re: First accessory to help deadlift?

If you are breaking off the floor and going into a stiff leg motion to get the weight up, it isn't a floor issue in and of itself, IMO. You should be working on more Posterior Chain work. In truth, it's a hip and quad issue and yes, Deficit Deadlifts might do the trick. I think you should do Deficit...

Re: Is this deep to you?

That error should not exist. I will send Eric and email about that right away. In any case, we're creating a set of mobility drills this upcoming weekend. I will repost the links here in a week or so. Before that, here is one of my old videos which I still use because I still do these drills today: ...

Re: Is this deep to you?

I am a founding father of GUS...but GUS is a totally free site. So I'm not promoting anything which is helping some else economically. Everything on GUS is totally free. Free. All of Eric's ebooks, etc. It's all free. So is the forum and such. There is zero money.

Re: Hybrid, Full body / Upper/Lower Split

Because focus on a just a few movements will reap more significant results in the short run. There are a number of articles about this, I'm not going to dig them up here. The "big 5"; squat, deadlift, bench, row, OH Press are really all you need. The other lifts are called "accessory" for a reason....

Re: Hybrid, Full body / Upper/Lower Split

Wolf, great an Upper/Lower split What makes it better? I'm getiting personal preferences, hypocrisy, and alternative programs, but no whys. Why can't you figure out how I can progress on Back Squats, just because I also do Front Squats? Or how I can progress on Bench Press, if I also do Incline Pus...
