I don't know if there is a connection, but there is a Hebrew proverb that goes somewhat like "The baker shouldn't comment on his dough".

(In case you're not joking:) I don't have access to the full article so I have no idea about the quantities involved, but IIRC 2 Brazil nuts a day is all you need selenium-wise, and more than that is considered unhealthy.

Re: Get rid of belly

But still, once i follow these steps, there must be a kind of exercise which can help me to lose fat in that area. Nope. You have to reduce total body fat, and unfortunately the body "decides" which fat to burn mainly for genetic reasons regardless of the exercises. I, too, would like to lose my be...

six cups of coffee a day keep the doctor away(*)

From the New England Journal of Medicine come the news: of more that 400,000 subjects, " there was a significant inverse association between coffee consumption and mortality " and " Inverse associations were observed for deaths due to heart disease, respiratory disease, stroke, injuries and accident...

Re: Coq10 supplementation

I'll get back to you with any new info not presented in this thread so far, if I find any at all! Please do. I'm the same age as your father plus his diabetes and statins minus his heart attack (for the time being, that is). I feel that there should be some conclusive evidence about Q10 by now, hav...

Re: Breathing to fix posture?

Your thoughts on the subject? My first thought was that they followed your signature advice... Seems too good to be true. Changing spine curvature by "... exercised for 10 minutes thrice a week for 4 weeks" does not sit well with what I know about spine curvature, but then again, I'm not really edu...

Re: squat question

Actually, it wouldn't be impossible to measure... True, not impossible, but quite difficult. If you select your groups quasi-randomly (as you described the process), you will have guys like Kenny, Khronos and yourself in the group that avoids squats, and guys like me in the group that squats, and y...

A question about full range of motion

This is off topic, I'm just using this opportunity to get Mr. Desimone attention. Moderators, please feel free to remove. The question is this: I saw your video on chin-ups, and - like almost everyone else - you teach to do it starting with hands completely straight and finishing with the chin over ...
