Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

Once again robert, thanks a bunch, you've been extremely helpful. The plan is definitely to move to free weight benching, no doubt, but I started off with a training partner so we were free weighting and I had a spotter, but due to changing jobs we can't hit the gym at the same time anymore, so I'm ...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

OK OK.. it does say n00b under my name for a reason y'know. Sarcasm and disparaging aside, I am here for advice, thats why I decided to post. I have already taken on board feedback about my nutrition and diet, and now I am moulding my training routine. All I did was literally copy and paste the rout...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

If you are drinking that much because you have believe myths about more water being better for you, you could be harming yourself. Stop following some water goal, and drink only when you are thirsty, and only enough to keep you from being thirsty for a few hours. Your body has great regulatory mech...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

Just looking a little closer at my diet that I posted above (which I drew up on myfitnesspal) and realised the information for broccoli is way off. There is no way there is 12g of carbs in a cup of broccoli.. there is another broccoli entry which seems to be more correct (about 7% carbs)

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

Also read up on carb backloading after you guys just mentioned it, and I could easily adjust my diet to suit that, just by putting the rice from my first chicken meal into my second, and removing the wheat biscuit from breakfast, and replacing it somewhere else post workout. Is it worth giving that ...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

You have some broccoli there but that's about all the veg you have. Add some other fibrous vegetables. You don't have to count them in your calories since they are negligible, but the provide the micro-nutrients you need and they fill you up. You need some variety. Garlic, onions, peppers, mushroom...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

OK cheers for all the replies guys... really appreciate it. It's Saturday morning over here, so I'm going to do up a diet plan, one for training days and one for non-training, and then go shopping. I understand about how some people hate to calorie count or put a percentage on macros but I'm a chron...

Re: Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

Ok cheers for the replies guys. I do think my diet needs some tweaking, as I feel like I'm plateauing. I'm having one egg currently for breakfast, so I might up my fats in breakfast and decrease the carbs slightly. Definitely keen for some feedback on my routine, I know it does look like a lot, and ...

Re: difficulty in sitting upright with legs outstretched?!

From my amateur viewpoint sounds like a flexibility issue. I used to have a similar problem, but I would feel tightness in my hammys, not the upper thigh/hip region. I gradually improved my flexibility by training more and walking first thing in the morning, with a good pre-stretch routine (and warm...

Critique my regimen (training, nutrition etc)

First of all.. very amusing registration process to weed out the spammers, seems as though it works, which is great. Anyway, I've always avoided actually posting on most fitness/weight training forums, remaining a lurker, until now, only because I think most of the people here are pretty level heade...
