Training schedule confusion
Hi all! I hope someone can help me... I just started a 4 day a week, split, push/pull weight lifting workout routine off this site (ABXABXX). I was wondering if i am only supposed to choose ONE exercise per muscle group listed for push/pull muscle order? Or can i do more than one? Would doing more t...

Re: Eating along side working out
You can't go wrong with a high protein, high fat diet with loads of veggies. Your body will soon adapt to efficiently burning fat to fuel your workouts and like I said, I noticed no difference in strength gains whether training fasted/in ketosis or eating more carbs day to day. Fasted training (BCA...

Re: Eating along side working out
It depends. For general fitness, looking good ("toned") etc. I'd stick to the above. If you're after more bulk then add in a load of carbs post workout. I trained for a year basically minimal carbs and then a cheat day/weekend every week. My approach for the last couple of months or so has been min...

Re: Eating along side working out
don't overthink it, just eat good, healthy foods. Nothing processed or sugary. Your pre training meal should be meat and veg, post workout should also be meat and veg. Plants and dead animals should make up 99% of your diet. There's a lot of info out there on the benefit of having a fast digesting ...

Eating along side working out
Well i recently (as in, YESTERDAY) started going to the gym again. I think i have a pretty solid beginning workout routine nailed down, thanks to this site. I am doing a 3 day/week, push/pull split workout and gotta say, i am SORE! But now that i feel like i am at least on the right workout path, i ...

That was Stuward you were replying to. The words "Thanks TimD" in his signature are a tribute to a member of this forum who died about a year ago. If he were still around, you would benefit from his ability to reduce problems to their essence. He'd probably weigh in on this. I'm not sure what he'd ...

Re: Paleo - Good or bad?
Thanks TimD, I am starting to realize just how varied the paleo lifestyle can be. It really depends on each person's digestive makeup. I guess the only real way to see if cutting dairy and / or gluten would have any positive effects is to cut one at a time out of my diet completely and see if i noti...

Paleo - Good or bad?
Well it seems like everywhere you turn there are contrary ideas, studies, and info regarding the Paleo lifestyle. One of the biggest confusing aspects of it is the pretty extensive list of "unhealthy" or "non-paleo" foods. I have read that grains are bad for you because of gluten, lectin, and phytat...
