Re: is upper/lower Rectus Abdominis a myth? + abs question.

nice! ty for all the information! would something as simple "vertical leg-hip raise" (as named in the directory) be good enough to give the RA a good workout? or do i have to resort to weights? i REALLY don't want to put any un-needed tension on my lower back. the Obliques are a-bit harder for me to...

Re: is my gym istructure clueless?

this guy was the "on-shift" trainer in the gym, in that gym there is always 1 male and 1 female trainer present to help the guys and the girls. he DOES look like a body builder, and the fact that 3 secs after we were introduced he told me he has the best prices on supplements kind of rang my bells t...

Re: Need help with training routine (new to gym after 3 year

wow robertscott thanks alot! that is very tempting to me, only 5 exercises per workout seems alot "easier" on the mind than "i need enough energy to go to an 8 drill workout" rather than just 5". seems alot nicer on the body to let it recoup also - about what u said, 1 day between workouts, i though...

Re: Need help with training routine (new to gym after 3 year

alright well! first of all, again i appropriate all the help and advice. i might be stubborn but i do want to try "my own thing" before i try the ready made 5X5 programs and such (worst case i waste 1-2 months and try the "sure thing") but assuming my routine is: Barbell Deadlift Barbell Full Squat ...

Re: Need help with training routine (new to gym after 3 year

Haha alright I think I get it now.. at least moss do than before! But I gotta ask... as a new trainee, the weight I can lift will prolly chance rapidly, so how will I know what is the"right weight" when I go on my mod and light days and won't I waste a bunch of time sets and effort going too low in ...

Re: Need help with training routine (new to gym after 3 year

well i have to admit im way more confused than i was when i started the thread ;P what i don't get is, I've trained before and grew nicely. it seems to me like the medium and easy days will be time i wasted that i could've pushed myself further, or maybe im not understanding. 1. Heavy workout day - ...

Re: Need help with training routine (new to gym after 3 year

Hey guys! ty so much for the answer. true, Deadlift covers everythig Hyperextension does, so that's out. down to 21 sets. robertscott , would you mind recommending some good complex Row exercises? good posture and healthy shoulders are a first for me before any muscle mass. i thought about "Cable St...
