Re: Sympathy Recomp 2013

Nice work! You're looking very cut there. Definition doesn't show as well in pictures as it does when you look in the mirror either.

Re: 2-day split workout

That looks like a pretty solid intermediate bodybuilding workout. I think that should work pretty well for you.

Re: bent row performance

The main thing that matters is being bent over further. I think up higher with arms out more gives you more focus on rear delts. I have the same issue as you, so I end up doing single arm dumbbell row, prone dumbbell row, or tbar. I might get a cambered bar at some point, then I could use that in th...

Re: you can help me walk if you want

Feel free to post anything you'd like. We'll help if we can. I like Jungledoc's idea of unilateral. I understand what you're getting at. You don't want to just recover the ability to stand and walk, but be otherwise the same as you were when you couldn't move your legs. You want to regain the abilit...

Re: Question about exercise sequence in the templates

The time successive sets are must is when your are increasing intensity by decreasing rest times. Decreased rest is one method of progressive overload. So whenever rest time is not part of your progressive overload strategy, you don't have to have successive sets. One strategy is to pyramid down wit...

Re: Result Sheet

I would think a before and after on the blood levels is what they would really like to see. Increases in strength and reduction in weight and waist measurements would probably also be of interest.

We do actually have one doctor here among us. He might comment possibly.

Re: random controversy

He's not dead. He's in a sort of neutral zone, but it's surrounded by Russia. Nothing will be going on that the Russians don't want to be going on. What they want, is for him to stay there without incident, for as short a time as possible, and to never cross into Russian territory. The only thing th...

Re: program

Yea, the cardio is fine. As for the knee pain, just don't go below the 90 degrees. You probably strained something a little. It should heal quickly as long as you don't bend it so far.

Re: you can help me walk if you want

A back extension machine would probably help. Then of course there are all the usual upper body exercises. Machines are easier if you have access to them. If you have help dumbbells and bands could also work. You could probably even do dips in your walker. It might be harder to hold your legs up tha...

To get the big picture take a look at the muscle side of this. http://exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I found learning how everything works together to be helpful also. No, nothing like that. The warmup set is to get you ready for the heavy work set. The muscles get warmed up, and the nervous system adjusts to the load.

Re: random controversy

It seems to me that many people (including many in the media) care more about their petty party loyalties than they do about their own principals. Many who were sharply critical of Bush for the Patriot Act are now defending the Obama administrations domestic spying program. Meanwhile others who def...

Re: program

The very most important thing is NOT to exercise when you can't drink. Dehydration would be a problem. Other than that, having your nightly feast is the main thing, and that I'm sure you already do. It won't impede your progress much while you are a beginner. If it is convenient maybe you can begin ...
