Golden M- Why are you so obsessed with lateral deltoids? It seems like you've started 10 threads in the past just for them!

Are you asking if basketball will have a negative effect? If so, I have a feeling you are searching for reasons as to why you arent growing. I bet you're overtraining.

For chest you may wanna try the decline bench. That hits the front delts the least out of the 3 angles, so maybe you could handle that. If that worked you could also do triceps extensions on the decline as well.

T-nation is a very good site. Poloquin is one of my favorites. I used to like alot of Christian Thibideau's stuff before he turned to bodybuilding.

If thats your order of exercises, you should be doing bench press and deadlift first on their respective days. I disagree with some of those *s...DB preacher curl, lat pulldown, leg curl, shrugs...just to name some of those that arent exercises everyone needs to include (epecially the preacher and l...

You're welcome. I think that looks better Juggers. Two suggestions though. You can probably get away with it now, but long term i think its best to swap the order of heavy bp day with heavy squat day. Move the BP to "workout 2" and squat workout to "workout 1". As you advance in weight i think you'l...

Hmmm...so maybe its the leaning part thats the key. I can see from the little visuals of the exercises on this site the one thats standing has a little lean to him. Otherwise they seem exactly the same

It is because when you are seated the bench is the synergist. What does it mean to be a synergist? I thought it meant that muscle was an assistor in the move? Like biceps would be to barbell rows??? Im not understanding why the upper pecs would be worked just because you're standing and not sitting...

military press/shoulder press question

Hi, i was wondering why the Clavicular portion of the pecs is listed as a synergist on the standing military press, but not on the barbell shoulder press (seated)? Whats the difference?

Also, just noticed this. You have triceps being worked 3 straight days. Day 3 with the close grip bench, Day 4 with the kickbacks, and then you have heavy bench day on Day 5. Thats not really good, you wouldnt want to work your triceps 1 day before benching let alone 2 straight days before.

Juggers- a few things. I dont believe working out 5 straight days like that is a good idea. Either combine some things to make it 4 days a week...on Mon/Tue, off Wed, on Thu/Fri....or if you want it 5 days a week like you have it now just incorporate either Saturday or Sunday into the routine if pos...
