I have questions about doing exercises weighted: What's the general consensus on weight belts/vests? So I'm DubDub, I'm a college student who's been working out very consistently for about a year. I don't remember where I heard this, but I think quad : ham ratio should be 3 : 2. Also, a way to focus on one more than the other is not just target one (just extra lying leg curls) but target one and then do your squat routine. Pretty much any program involving both squatting (and other lower body lifting) and plyometrics will improve your vertical if it challenges you over a sustained period of time (six weeks or more).
