Thanks guys. I knew you'd have the experience to answer this one. I'll use that next time I need to do a clean. On a different subject, I've never done a snatch before but I know it will come up eventually. With a dumbbell snatch, would you orient the dumbbells parallel to eachother (fore/aft as you...

While I was doing the clean those two ends were coming close to my neck and I worried what might happen if they hap...

This is an interesting thread. I could imagine myself saying the same things before actually trying squats and deadlifts. After doing them now for just a couple months I know that they are some of the most difficult exercises because they involve the most muscle. No weightlifting exercise gets my he...

I don't have any credentials ... but if my knees don't move past my toes, and I get low enough that my quads are parallel with the floor, I fall flat on my backside.

My knees have to move forward of my toes in order for me to balance. Am I doing something wrong?

Tues. Jul 11, 2006 Cardio: 20 min on treadmill (3% incline, 5.5 MPH) Strength: Squat 167 lbs. x 27 reps in 20 minutes My grip is the limiting factor. After about 12 minutes, I could barely hold the dumbbells any more. I should do some grip training ... maybe just pick them up a few times each week ...
